melancholy...

reflection...
meditation...
prayer...
sadness...
appreciation...
gratefulness...
sorrow...
hope...
faith...
defeated...
empowered...

this is what I felt today...
changing from one moment to the next...
and someone asked me when this will all stop...
and I have thought on that all day...
the most logical answer is when we die...
this will not be apart of Heaven...

and then I had my answer...
and it may not be yours...

we cannot have peace in our world...
until we have peace in our hearts...
each an every person is accountable...
each and everyone of us counts...
we cannot sit and wait for someone else to make peace...
we...
each one of us has to find that inside ourselves first...
if...
we...
did that...
got rid of the anger and hate within us...
there would be nothing left...
but peace and love...
and it would spread like a wild fire through out the land...
remembering all of us...
a part of all of us died that day...
let us be reborn...

When Heaven Cried

A call came up the other day, bells began to ring,
Cries were coming into Heaven louder than we could sing.

The death angel had been busy, to Earth we had to go,
Again, the evil one had struck a devastating blow.

There are no words to describe what we saw when we got there,
As the towers fell, fire and ash filled the air.

So many were released instantly, but others had to wait,
The second life cannot begin until the first one fades.

We held their hands and comforted them, until their time to go,
Then we gently hugged them as we greeted their immortal soul.

Their worries weren't about themselves, but the ones they had to leave,
Their concern was for the others, the ones left there to grieve.

Of all the ones that crossed that day, there was a different breed,
They are the ones that God had called to serve the human's needs.

They are the ones who wore a badge until their dying day,
Their hearts are full of mercy, God had blessed them in that way.

Just because you cannot see them, their work is not quite done,
Now they're wearing halos and wings given by the Son.

They ride the trucks with lights and sirens into the battle zones,
And when a brother steps in his boots, he is not alone.

forever in God's arms...

praying for those still here...
still fighting...
every day...
never forget...

10 years ago we were changed....
10 years of sending our children to fight a new war...
10 years of conspiracy theories...
10 years of mourning for families who have lost loved ones...
10 years of politics...

10 years...
and it still stings...
10 years...
and we still cry...
10 years...
we still mourn...

10 years...
this is not a celebration of evil...
but the ability, with God, to overcome...

IF WE, THE PEOPLE, GOD'S PEOPLE...
TAKE JUST A MOMENT...
TO EMBRACE THOSE WE LOVE...
HUG THEM LIKE IT'S THE LAST TIME TODAY...
REACH OUT TO SOMEONE WE DO NOT KNOW...
SHARE SOMETHING THAT SOMEONE NEEDS MORE...
IF...
WE LOVE MORE THAN THEY HATE...
ONE BY ONE...
WE CHANGE THE WORLD...
IF WE ALL JUST TOOK A MOMENT TODAY TO REST IN GOD'S ARMS...
IMAGINE...
GOD'S LOVE SHINING THROUGH US...

transitions...

color can still be found in the yard...
but it's not here for long...
I am going to transplant that spider plant and bring it in...
and hope my dingy cat doesn't eat it...
so just walk around and snoop all you want...
hope you are having a good weekend...
DH and I have been to the deli, came back and got lunch done...
not feeling so hot...
so I am on my way to bed...

cooked off a pan of pears this morning with sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg...
yeah, they're really good...
has anyone ever made or heard of a pear pie?

I haven't, but why not?
they cook up like apples...
I think it might be something that we try soon...
or cheese cake with pears....
how bad could it be?
