the time in between the sunshine...

the time in between summer and fall...

the time in between Earth and Heaven...

the time in between birth and death...

the time in between until we meet again...

today is my father-in-law's birthday...

his second in Heaven...

our second without him...

he would have been 89...

the gate was his...

the flag was his...

flown in his honor for his service in WWII...

it will be retired this year to the VFW post here in town...

I named my blog after that gate...

because for so long...

it opened into the most beautiful back yard...

full of tulips, daffodils, lilacs, roses, sweet peas...

and an old tire swing...

he was a gardener, a photographer, a minister...

and he is so missed...

especially today...

the time in between when we meet again...

rainy afternoon...

the rain just started...

but it's been gloomy all day...

brownie making day...

nap taking day...

DH had to work yesterday and part of today...

makes the days run together...

the dust system went out...

and they have to have it running...

or they have to shut down...

not a good thing at harvest...

some are picking...

this rain will slow them down...

the part they were waiting for cost $4,000...

a gear reducer...

cost them $1,000 to ship it in 7 hours...

good thing it wasn't something major...

but it's all fixed and all put back together...

now we have to wait for the rain to stop and things to dry out again...

have a great evening...

fall eye candy...

DH had to work today...

he will be home when they get done...

whenever that is...

had a terrible sinus headache all day yesterday and all night last night...

but it's gone today...

trying to slowly get back into the groove of things...

it's 73 out and could hit 77...

loving these cooler days...

and the nights aren't bad either...

good brownie weather...

Prayer needed for a friend of a friend...

We are asking for prayer for our daughter, Molly. She has had a headache for over a month and saw her Doctor. He did blood tests and a cat scan. The blood tests were fine but the cat scan showed a grey area and he ordered an MRI. The MRI showed a fluid-filled cyst attached to the right lobe of her brain. They are assuming it is benign. She is scheduled to see a Neurologist in Madison on October 7 (She lives in Waupun). The Neurologist has instructed Molly to keep a journal of her headaches for the next 3 weeks, until she sees her. There have been no other symptoms (praise the Lord!)

Molly has 3 small, beautiful children and a husband who would very much like to keep her this side of Heaven a bit longer...

so you all know what to do...

for the next three weeks...

have Molly Morning time...

put her in your prayer journals, God Boxes, prayer lists...

and remember to whisper her name when you bow your heads...

yeah, you heard right...

wind chill of 35...

when summer lifts her skirts...

fall steps in...

every time...

bitter sweet knowing the joy they brought...

and knowing their days are numbered...

and the countdown has begun...

DH just spent 3 days on jury duty...

it was a sex offense against a minor...

the man was convicted...

the child was mentally challenged...

my sweetie came home and cried...

he couldn't talk about it before the trial was over...

all I knew was that it was bothering him a lot...

how can people do that to children?

he wanted to know...

the lack of God...

was my only answer...

please remember this child, the family, and the man convicted in your prayers...

only God knows what they all need...

we have had a beautiful sunny day here...

and it warmed up enough to venture out with a hoodie...

the days are so short and getting shorter every day...
