come see...

this is Friday night's fish dinner...

it was yummo...

and then yesterday, we got some photos of the mother's garden...

the dutch iris are so pretty...

we did not get this area finished...

it turned off hot and we needed to work in the shade...

by the time the shade came around, we were too pupt from finding other things to do..

these bulbs were planted last fall...

and I am going to add more to the other beds...

DH went to town yesterday and came home with this...

a yellow climbing rose...

the tag said it was pink...

but that sure looks yellow to me...

he said it was the only yellow one in a sea of pink...

more of these guys...

those are the 3 different colors that have come up...

yesterday was a hard day...

took all of this up and spread the black Preen no weed fabric and then put it all back...

this is just wonderful...

not much room left to stick anything in it...

and the rest are just a few photos I got just walking around...

we worked over here today...

onions are up!

and the rest of the flowers that we have are planted...

today we weeded over here...

and Craig pulled the magic tub out from under the deck...

and we washed all the fun things up and got those scattered about...

there's a special little guy going oui oui in the flowers again...

you'll have to come back tomorrow to see who I am talking about..

and I will show you the things that have been packed away for months...

and how the whole thing came out...

it is hot here...

and humid...

got the air on and the humidity is still 50% inside...

but we had a good day...

and it is looking better...

always more to do, you know...

did get a couple names for deck construction...

so will be giving them a call tomorrow and hopefully getting some estimates...

also have a couple looking for more bowling balls for me...

you can never have too many of those...

well, maybe you can...

but I'm not there...

yet...

also, it was a good day to reflect...

being thankful...

and I am so going to miss my friends as they party on the other side...

and I know they are having the best time...

and they are meeting up with friends and loved ones who have been there for a long time...

kind, good souls are always missed on this side...

and they were both that indeed...

and thank you for all your prayers sent and your kind words...

peace to you...

what really matters...

there comes a time for everything in this world...

everything in our lives...

and some of that time is for waiting...

for trusting...

somewhere around the corner...

the answers await...

timing...

its all about timing...

storms come and storms go...

but there is shelter...

and there is peace...

until the storm passes...

lost another great lady here in our little town today...

found out she had cancer 2 months ago...

and today, she was set free...

she was a most talented painter...

we did shows together years ago...

she loved history...

and she was also my neighbor...

just a hop, skip and jump away...

her storm has passed and she is safe now...

away from all that caused pain...

sorrow...

but she will be missed...

greatly...

remember her family and others like them who are having to learn to let go...

who are in the middle of their storms...

who need the waves to calm and skies to clear...

its not easy being of this world...

but it will all be worth it...

gardening, rummaging and painting day...

even the weeds are blooming here...

dumped this and will be using it to haul around the garden tools...

dutch iris are beginning to bloom..

new bulbs planted last fall...

so far- white, yellow and blue, from what I can tell...

this is new...

must have been in the bunch of bulbs we got..

or the squirrels have been busy...

daisies are up and going strong...

iris in the island are blooming, too...

got those plants from last weekend in the ground today...

Craig got up and headed out early to the rummage sales...

2 croquet sets, complete, one very vintage...

$5 each...

his goal this morning was to get one, but when they were $5, he grabbed them both...

the newer one is getting painted fun colors...

the vintage one won't be touched...

another new member of one of the front beds...

and he snagged these older, beat up tables...

$1 each...

he cut half of the legs off of one and is going to sand and paint them...

then stack them in a corner of the living room for his laptop central...

sent him to the lumber yard for a new nozzle for the hose...

saw them on sale in their ad and they had this paint that I had wanted but had been back ordered...

purple for sure...

the name is gumdrop...

I love it...

getting more of this...

well, its been a so-so day...

started out raining and then it cleared off and we have more storms coming in later...

so stiff and sore, I can't move very well at all or much...

the PT is working and as soon as I work through this, I will be in better shape...

its just the between now and then that's the pits...

DH and I got all the way to the parking lot yesterday of the drs office and I was too exhausted to make it in there...

fibro flair for real...

and I should never have even headed that way...

but I tried...

and then couldn't do it...

the worst part is that the ENT doctor is only there once a month, so I have to wait another month before I can get in...

besides the extreme fatigue and muscle spasms, I am hanging in there...

praying away the pain and waiting for better days...

moving slowly and letting the guys do 95% of the work...

some days I can almost forget that I have this stuff now...

and then there are days when I am very aware...

but, the best part is...

these flairs are getting fewer and farther apart...

that I do have more good days than bad now...

and the good days will return...

;)

and I will be ready...

well, the fish dinners just walked in the door...

its a beautiful day here...

in the high 70s...

with a brisk breeze blowing through the trees...

so grabbed Craig and out we went...

he took a blanket, pillows and his laptop...

Bebe goes where the blankets are...

and I raked a little, took photos and just soaked up that feeling of awesomeness..

I thanked God for all the small things this morning...

every leaf of the trees..

every sway of the branches...

every whisker on every baby..

I spent my morning out there in my nightgown...

just being...

got a semi busy day...

doctor's appointment this afternoon...

with direct orders from both guys not to wear myself out before then...

so its going to be a slacker day for me...

didn't think you would get out of here without some color, did you?

I potted this last night...

love the pot in the pot...

ran out of potting soil so this will happen later...

used the "new" watering can last night...

aren't these just perky?

sun kissed..

need to pot these, too...

now for the latest projects going on...

these old chairs are going celery, too..

that is the same color that my grandfather painted their chairs so many years ago...

same style and all...

and the bird cage went jade green...

just a pop of color..

need to get another can of it to give it another coat...

mower guy is due today, so what is getting painted will have to be done soon so it will be dry to move out of the way...

DH is getting off at 11 this morning and he has tomorrow off...

so we might get a lot done around here if the weather permits...

chance of storms the next 4 days, so you never know...
