a friend of Craig's stopped by tonight...

and she agreed to help with some moving around...

I need to take the lavender out and dust the top of the shaker jar...

a project to do tomorrow...

they moved the mantel back to the wall for me...

and the table is in front of the windows...

so I can watch for spring the proper way...

but remember the old green wall paper that was on the front of this?

I decided to paint it...

black...

and I love it...

so later when I feel better and can bend more...

I am painting the inside, too...

and I had them remove the black metal panels...

they are now on the deck and I will find something to do with them later...

and tomorrow I will redo the top of the mantel...

and see what happens there...

kind of a slow, sore day here today...

maybe did a bit too much yesterday...

but working through it and keeping up with the pt and my own yoga/ weights program...

just takes me longer to get through them...

I so need more energy...

like that of a 7 year old would be nice...

that it melts soon and releases the wonders of spring just waiting to come forth...

we could all use some sun screen and flip flop weather...

its amazing what one will do for you...

I think its another one of those gifts from God that we over look every single day...

been getting up with the chickens here...

and in between breakfast and lunch, DH took me for a little drive...

I so wasn't ready for that...

LOL

and I had him pull over at only one spot...

the rest of the time I was hanging onto my tummy with both hands...

I know now to take a pillow with me to the doctor's on Tuesday...

my 'new' tummy is able to handle anything now...

where it comes out of...

not so sure...

;)

pillows are a wonderful thing...

I have told the guys that I am not to be pinched this year no matter what I wear...

another promise of spring...

we had a wonderful spring-like day here yesterday...

59!

and my guys took me out for a small walk in the afternoon...

wasn't out there too long, when nature called and back in we came...

baby steps keep happening here, and there are a bunch to do...

but I make progress every day...

and I am able to lay down and sleep in my bed again...

just a couple hours at a time right now...

but it feels so good!

the warmer weather left in the night and coldness has seeped back in...

could see snow even later on...

oh, the madness of March...

thank you so much for your prayers and kind words...

its been the roughest week for us...

from Wed through Sat, DH and I logged in a total of 12 hours sleep...

still cannot sleep more than 1-2 at a time, but making up ground finally...

fibro...

almost kicked my butt this time...

Craig did some googling for me and we found out they should have done some things pre and post op to make it easier on me...

that my pain level after surgery was 20-30 on a scale of 1-10...

that I should have been in recovery 4-5 times longer than most...

that no one would help me from the hospital when we called for several days...

asking for muscle relaxers...

that these guys ran this vibrator massager on me for hours at a time to get me through this...

I need to check the next time to make sure my primary care physician will not be on vacation the whole week after surgery...

;)

what a ride, and its far from over, but we have come to a resting spot along side of the road...

enough to catch our breath for a spell...

that my men will kneel and pray beside me anytime I ask them...

that God does answer prayers...

and he does it when you need it...

that I fell in love with my husband all over again in these last few days...

this man who cried with me and wants to grow old with me...

I have an appointment with the surgeon on Thursday and not sure if we will be able to make it...

might be next week before I can make it out to the car...

but today is better...
