Phase 2 of the island...

we have been in and out today...
in between rains...
and then the news this afternoon kind of slowed us down as we watched bombs explode at the Boston Marathon...

prayers for those who did nothing wrong, but will suffer long for those who did...

makes you just enjoy and appreciate your peace and harmony in your own little world...

evil can happen any time, any where...
no one is exempt...

but God protects his own, with angel wings...
and some he calls home during the chaos...

we must always be ready to leave...
it could come in the blink of an eye...

embrace your peace today...

let the drama go...

and just enjoy this time with those your love...
with God's blessings all around you...

just take a moment to look around at all the little things He has sent your way today...

a busy day for Heaven with all the prayers going on right now...

take time to listen to the birds' song...

pray for all the rescue people who are running non stop to get people loaded in the ambulances...
they are at risk just staying in the area...

pray for the doctors and nurses and hospital personal who are treating all the injuries and dealing with the shock of the families as they try to find out about their loved ones...

pray for those who did this...
for they need God's love more than anyone else...

for their pain has to be so great to have it spill out this way...

let this change their lives for the good...
that they get the help and prayers that they need...

I just cannot imagine wanting to hurt others so much...
to plan something like this out...

and then to carry through with it...
what goes through their minds?

lies, lies and more lies from the devil himself...

I am sorry, but these things just upset me so...
I just have to stop what I am doing and talk it over with God...

and after we got done out here today...
 this is the result...
a friend started the tacky yard war again last fall and left the pink flamingos in my yard...
but I am embracing them...
I kind have grown attached to them...
and they add some pink color to the yard...
I am so going to miss that puff of bright yellow out there...
so wish the forsythia stayed yellow all summer...
but it will turn green...
and other things will pop up...
thinking of putting my 4 o'clocks out here...
a blogging sister sent me some seed last fall and I have been looking for the perfect place to put them...
I think this will be their new home...

so, got spaghetti on the stove...
DH is due home anytime...
and our evening will begin...
keep praying for our country, our world...
its worth it...
and so needed...
hugs

It's really a glorious day here on the prairie...

got up and headed out to Walmart this morning...
we were there yesterday, but didn't get DH's meds and Craig forgot 2 things on his part of the list...
and...
there was someone on my mind all night long that I just had to go back and get...

and when we got back, the mower guy was just finishing up...

and I grabbed some gloves and my little rake...
and started in on a couple of small beds that were missed last time we were out here...

and of course I took some photos...

we also got a walk in...

not too far...
just down the street...

just to see the neighbor's magnolia tree...
they are in bloom all over town...

but no dogwoods or red buds yet...

my sitting place...

and this is the little guy I couldn't get off of my mind...
we saw him outside as we left yesterday, but we were all just so worn out...
I let the guys drive on by...
he was the only one that stood up...

and the tulips are getting ready to open...

the lilac is leafing out...

and we even started the spray painting...
the chair was getting some rust on her...
and the bird cage stand is something I bought last year, but someone had painted it navy blue...
it so looks better white...

the forsythia is just beautiful this year...
its about 7 years old now, started it from a little stick...
this is the best its ever looked...

the knock out roses all are turning green....
I may head back out there....
picked up some wheat flour at Walmart to make pizza crusts with...
so that's what DH and I just got finished eating...
wheat flour makes the crust crispy...

well, the outside is calling me...
we have so many rain days coming this week...
should make things really bloom by next weekend...
hope you are having a good day...
70s can't be beat...

while I was bird watching...

you know I love watching the birds who come to the feeder every day...

but there are those around here who are uninterested in it...

but take full advantage of the deck and all the cozy places to nap...

and I still love the views out in the yard...

but its like night and day compared to the deck...
the yard is so full of activity...
and the deck...
totally lacking...
well, except for the snoring...
;)

another wonderful day outside...

well, been working my butt off...

tulips are not blooming yet...

today we started on the deck, and Craig did almost all of the work...

the big boys are back...
they kind of take over the feeder and the area around it...

but we are functional here again...
at least we have a place to sit outside...
and the longer the day went, the cloudier it got...

it could rain anytime now...
we need it pretty bad...

such hard work for an old dog...

everyone seems to like the warmer weather...
still have cough...
stuff in my chest and throat...
head is clear...
sore and stiff...
been down too many weeks...
gotta work harder at this...

hope you are getting warmer weather and pretty bloomers...
;)
