Monday madness...

good morning from Raggedy Annie...
she is a cuddler...

been too cold to play outside...
and snow coming in tonight and tomorrow?
who are they trying to kid?
that's the forsythia out there...
just waiting for it to turn bright yellow...
that should scare off winter...

I do belief its time to get a new thermometer...
there's no way it hit that yesterday...

got 4 days in a row that I will be home alone...
see the face on the backside of the dove?

got some ideas stirring around in my head...
and they involve these...

its going to fun to see how they turn out...
you will have to keep coming back to find out...

most of the vertigo I had yesterday has faded...
I am thinking I am going to need another round of antibiotics to kick the rest of this...
its so close to being done, but a tiny bit keeps hanging on with both hands...

may your blessings be more than your burdens today...

a product review...

for all of you Little Debbie fans out there...
if you haven't tried these, you need to hop in your car and head to the store...

I just had a nibble of this and I can say that it was awesome...

DH can vouch for these...
you know you want to try them...

inside the one I tried...
moist and weighty...
smooth and good...

iris bed...

and another one of the male cardinals...

I might have overdone it last week a little...
crashed just before noon...
got vertigo, too...
yippee...
I should hear tomorrow about the blood work I did yesterday...
or clinic/ hospital is all connected together...
so the lab is between the two...
they do it onsight...
so no having to wait for it to come back through the mail...

sunny but so cold here...
we have to wait until next weekend to be warm again...

disclaimer: Grandma's didn't pay me one red cent to toot my horn about the above products...
I did it of my own free will...
I thought it was a better thing to post than what I have been doing today...
napping and scooping poop out of the litter box...
;)

and so the day went like this...

purple finch...
my friend, Jettie, knew what it was...
thanks, girl!

today was blood work day, so got up early and headed to the blood suckers...
made it there by 7:30...
done in 5, so Craig and I took off for McDonald's for breakfast...

made a quick stop at Walmart...

found these, for a dollar each...
fun spring colors...
I lit the lilac as soon as I got home...

so here you go, all of you with snow still on the ground...

this is what spring looks like around here...

tulips and crocus...
could very well bloom in the snow...
they say more of that for Tuesday...

we cooked when we got home...
chicken parmesan with penne pasta...
had it for lunch and will have it for supper, too...

and when I have to watch my carbs and sugars, I use this for my bread...
I just take a loaf of the cheap french bread and slice it thin...
put it in a tub and that is the size of my sandwiches...
it makes really good sandwiches without all the things you don't want going to your hips...

its colder today and I am so missing yesterday's 70s...
we have a missing kitty...
Hermie got out on Craig yesterday morning and we haven't seen him since...
he is not used to being outside and is afraid of everything out there, so not sure if we will get him back or not...
praying he is safe, where ever he is...
we have walked the neighborhood and called and called...
got his face posted on fb in case someone found him...
so that's about it for me...
been trying to get my housework done, but it just takes me forever...
and now, we have to do a deli run to Ashmore...
;)

sure signs of spring...

we had a good first day of spring...
green grass...

the trees are budding...

iris are coming up...
got to rake soon, but this weekend looks like a bust...

we went out this evening after supper...

and it was a bit chilly, but not too bad...

another sure sign of spring...
work to do...

Bebe made a new friend...
one is our neighbor, but she had a friend over tonight...

and Craig found these at Walmart today...
marked down to $30...
there were $79...
going on the deck later on...
I think...
that's the plans right now...

how was your first day of spring?
;)

I'm back...

Tuesday night, Craig came home without my test strips for the glucose meter...
and I was completely out...
so, I had taken the antibiotic, which is making me so sick and I grabbed a hamburger...
then we took off...
for walmart, which did not have the script at all, so had to pay full price out of pocket for them, but got the strips and some extras...

I found this fabric there to redo the deck with...

and I found this beautiful blue fruit jar...
and I had an idea, which I will show you later on here...

and I found this, told Craig it would be fun, but only needed one...

when I got home, this was in the bags, too...
he was pretty sneaky, huh?
he paid for it, said I liked that color, so he got it for me...

got some brown terra cotta pots, white plastic eggs, and a birdhouse to paint...

and new shoes for home...
I have had this list of things to look for when I finally got out and ended up getting everything on the list in one night...
that never happens...

we got up yesterday morning to an icky kind of day...
and took off for my drs appointment...
it was at 10:45, so we got up and no internet...
it was so boring waiting on time to leave!
we got out of there at 12:30 and headed to walmart there, shopping around and went to pick up the strips there and there was nothing...
I am so fed up with the walmart pharmacies and trying to get my scripts!
so we left there without them, which reminds me, I need to call them this afternoon...
to see if they ever got it or I need to make another call to the nurse to see what's going on...
left there and hit Burger King on the way out of town...
ate lunch about 2pm and it went downhill from there...

got my garden gloves and some crafty things...

in the 97 cent bins...
and a pack of Easter cards...

and a couple of these dollar solar lights...

for the jars to set on the deck this summer...

see, I will show you the finished project as soon as I figure it out...

one of my whoppers...
I ended up eating 2 yesterday...
Doug and Paula came right when the guys were getting done with supper last night...
I was still too full from eating lunch so late, I hadn't done mine...
Doug had this nasty looking messy rash with red patches of infection on his arm...
I didn't like the looks of it at all, so Doug, Paula, DH and I headed back to the hospital/clinic and the ER...
we got in pretty quick and luckily, it was only a yeast infection with a secondary infection...
not blood poisoning or anything contagious...
they hadn't eaten yet, either, so we asked them where they wanted to eat and they said Burger King...
so we stopped there and went in and ate supper on the way home...
we had a good time...
but I was already worn out from the night before and then yesterday...
LOL- you should of heard me praying in the back seat on the way out of our drive way last night!
Lord, just let me be able to do what I got to do...
you know the kind of prayer...
I needed to go to interpret for Doug...
and to make sure the dr understood him and he understood what the dr was going to tell him...
the Lord blessed me with enough strength to get down what I had to do and even felt good when I got home...
;)

and a new comer...

I don't know what it is, but there's only one and its so pretty...
not sure if its a little snowbird ready to mate or another kind of sparrow...

doc checked me over pretty good...
ordered blood work for Saturday morning...
must fast for it...
they open at 7am...
so another trip for me...
I guess I am making up for the 3 months stuck at home...
when he gets the blood work back, he will decide on what to put me on...
which he is sure metformin twice a day...
and go from there...
and that's the news from here...
I hope your week is going good...
I will around to check on you soon...
right now there is a sink full of dishes, the trash can is full and laundry to put away...
and someone gave me 3 walmart bags crammed full of old towels...
for the animals and the cages...
so I need to sort them out...
that is going to help so much!
I hope to get a nap in there, too!
;)
