I hope you have a good day!

just in case you ever wondered what the inside of a cheap bed pillow looks like inside...

one half of a $2.50 Walmart pillow...

I cut it in half and stitched up the ends...
and one $2.50 pillow became two $1.25 pillows...

all this fabric is cut and ready to sew today or tomorrow...
we have a rain day on Thursday, so that might be a good time to do that...
will see how long it takes me to do what must be done first today...

and I have this left over for later projects...

and this happened yesterday, too...
real leaves!

and this also happened...

and this guy is so bad...
really, really bad...
and I think he knows it...

ring necked doves...

strolled around the feeders...

it was a pretty day...
a bit chillier than we had before...
but still a good day...

the stray tom...
we named him Bobtail...
his tail is only 2 inches long or so...
not sure if he was born this way or something happened to him when he was little...
but he is becoming a pain!

but he does like Hermie...
and they hang out together...

got some small plans for today...
making spaghetti for tomorrow...
DH has another afternoon in therapy...
so doing whoppers tonight...

the most important thing we ever do, on any given day...
is how we make others feel...
and we have the choice of making them feel good or bad...
;)

Happy Tuesday morning!

I am home alone today...
except for maybe this guy...
and a few others that have tails...

Bebe and I went for a walk a bit ago...
moved a little birdhouse to the seat yesterday...

almost...

dandy lions!

its been such a quiet and peaceful morning...
and a bit cooler...

20 degrees cooler...
got one window open and that will probably be enough...
lily of the valley...

there is such a rapid growth the first part of the spring...

and things fill in more and more every day here...

leaves are popping out over night...

such a magnificent little flower...

got up and got my shower after the guys left for work...
make up and hair dried...
then it was time for a girlie day...
did my nails...

I love watching the ferns uncurl...

just did brunch...
and I am already for a nap...

taking one of my new books with me...
I can read myself to sleep...
and then I can read some more when I wake up...

didn't think you were getting out of here without a bird pic, did you?
once the leaves are full on the trees, its going to be hard to get them...

we all have so much to be thankful for...
God blesses us every single day...
all the little things we take for granted really add up...
how many times does He grab things out of our way before they can hurt us?
all those unseen and unfelt little helps along the way?
I wonder what our score cards would look like at the end of each day?
thanking Him today for all the little things I don't know about...
moving away all the things I would have stumbled on...
;)
have a happy day...

it was a wonderful Easter day...

Craig had to work the whole weekend, but before he left...
he helped his dad move this from the island to the side yard...
love it here...

and the mower guy came and the yard so needed to be mowed...

and its all pretty now...

and here is the peeps on a stick that I got DH...
first time that I have seen them...
and he is a peep fan, so he got it...

Craig also helped us move things around out here...
and its as clean as its going to be until we hook the hose up...
still have more fluffy to do...

and we have some more things blooming...

and about to bloom...

and still blooming...

the last couple of days have made a big difference here...

lily of the valley are up...

Hermie...
loves being outside...

and I even got some bird shots in...

in fact, I took around 200 photos yesterday...

so hard to narrow it down to just a few...
DH and I spent most of the day to ourselves...
piddling around...
went for a short drive...
had hamburgers for lunch and hot dogs and home fries for supper...
kind of burnt out on the ham and noodles...
I even made me my first slaw dog...
its was awesome!

it was so nice having our dinner on Friday...
we got to eat whatever and rest up the rest of the weekend...
the Easter egg hunt on the square was fun...
loved seeing all the town kids running around with their baskets...
the weather has been just perfect...
we could use some rain, though...
so much I need to get done inside now...
sewing projects, painting...
putting up the Easter stuff...
got a tan already going, too...
so more sunshine this week to get that darker...

it was a blessed weekend...
even with losing a neighbor on Friday...
and it being the 1 year anniversary of dad passing to the other side...
Easter day was his birthday and Uncle Don's, too...
;)
have a fun week!

Easter egg hunt and some fun stuff, too...

the square up town all ready for the hunt...

'these aren't my nuts!"
he was busy checking the eggs out right before they turned the kids loose...

this side was for the 1-3 year olds, so the parents help them out...
not as many as we normally have and it was a wonderful day for it!

and here is the guy we went to see...
Mr Eli...
wasn't too sure what was going on...

he did get a few eggs...
but then gave all his candy away to some chicks...

"driving" the cannon...

and hiding under it...
he had a good day...

its hard work finding eggs and driving a cannon...
he was getting so tired...

and now for some fun...
the magnolia tree in the neighbor's yard...

and another neighbor's pear tree...

and back to our yard...
it really, finally looks like spring...
and today it felt like it, too...

the violets are back and so are the dandy lions...

the beds are beginning to fill in more...

lilies...

the ferns are uncurling!

azalea...

grape hyacinths...

squill...

and more daffodils...
there's some smaller squill in front of them...
our high today was 73...
had to take off my sweat shirt working out in the yard...

our dinner yesterday went really well...
no photos of that...
bad me...
but we all had full bellies...
and the kids brought Bella with them, so Bella and Gabby got to play together one more time...
and Gabby is at her new home now...
seems awfully quiet around here with no babies...
and it was peaceful with just me and the old man most of the day...

I have to make up DH and Craig's easter bags yet tonight...
jelly beans and chocolate bunnies for them!
peeps on a stick and a rubber duckie with bunny ears for Craig...

Happy Easter to you and your families...
and thanks to Jesus for dying for all of us...
and for God sending his son to save us all...
;)
