we got our rain...

right around 2" is my guess...

will have to wait until my weather man gets home from work so he can check HIS rain gauge...

but Charlie and I did get out in between a little bit...

some days, you wonder why you kept certain ones...

this is becoming a habit...

Lester will then crawl onto the bench and nap...

and the birds get ticked...

and Charlie telling me to stop taking photos and get on with the walk...

lilies will be blooming by next week...

these have been going for awhile now...

and looks like there are more to come...

its in the high 70s low 80s today...

a tad humid...

the beans are just whacked out this year...

I went on the deck last night, with Charlie...

and we laid down and I fell asleep listening to the rain hit the tin roof...

I could have stayed out there all night...

but, I forgot to take my blankie...

grape vines...

some of the stuff that I played with yesterday...

finally using the 'new' old stuff I got at the city wide...

this is that angel candle...

I am having one of those days...

nothing is getting done...

and I have no clue about supper...

they will probably boot me out of here...

blood work happening Friday morning...

and drs appointment is for Tuesday...

whopper time x 2!

it might be time to grab some groceries, too...

and toilet paper...

running out of that would be a tragedy...

well, time to check out that bed again...

a day inside, mostly...

this was my breakfast this morning...

fresh strawberries, a couple crumbled vanilla sandwich cookies, white chocolate sauce and a wonderful raspberry drizzle...

in layers...

went for a walk early this morning...

and met a baby bunny...

here is the cornfield at the end of the street...

and the peonies are opening...

tomatoes shot over the top of the chairs overnight...

the flowers I planted the other night...

and the green beans and radishes...

now officially taller than Charlie...

this pot is going to be awesome in another month...

and on the first Tuesday of every month, they test the warning siren...

and a couple of critters were paying attention...

not sure what to make of it, though...

and today was spent cleaning...

and napping...

hope your day was good...

got thunder boomers moving in after midnight...

could get a lot of rain out of it...

rainy day people always seem to know...

and Charlie and I got plenty of that done today...

we didn't get a lot of rain here...

but it sure made the beans the pop...

no till soybeans behind us...

and the weeds...

it was a fantastic down day...

I played with my doggie...

we napped, we ate, we walked in the rain...

through mud puddles...

Charlie seems to like them...

he started a new game with me today...

peek a boo...

he peeks around the corner and when I holler peek a boo...

he runs away...

then he sneaks back up on me and we do it again...

now, I have to play peek a boo every time I go potty...

;0)

he had micro bursts of energy today where he would just run around and play...

like Bebe used to...

one good thing about little dogs...

it doesn't take a lot of room for them to run...

he kept wanting me to take him outside...

and I would say, 'dude, its raining...'

and he would sit down...

then he would jump on me again...

so I showed him out the window...

and he would lie down and chomp his frog..

so I finally took him out when it wasn't pouring...

and he was a happy camper...

I got a note today to call my doctor for a 3 month follow up on blood work...

so, I will call them in the morning and see if I can do it Friday morning early...

Craig is off that day...

breakfast after, because I have to fast for the blood test...

I would love to stop at Goodwill and find something for the scarecrow to wear...

but I don't think they open very early and not sure I want to hang around for a couple hours...

they have opened a new one in Charleston, so might head in there this weekend sometime...

you know, just to check it out...

the best thing about going there is you never know what you will find!

and you never know what you need until you see it...

and its pretty dern cheap...

well, we sure worked hard at doing nothing today...

and its time for bed...

another perfect day...

the birds are enjoying the birdbath more here...

we went out when we got up this morning and started in again...

Charlie helped, but had to take a nap in between...

and he had to get a drink of water...

that is water, not powerade...

and we worked the area around the deck and shed today...

then the guys planted the 3 pear trees that were given to us by a neighbor...

this is how we keep Charlie from running off on this side of the yard...

there is a lead on the other side...

and this is where I worked first...

planted the last of the flowers in here and pulled maple trees...

thinned the radishes...

and this is where the new bunny is going to be for now...

we moved everything out of here and really cleaned it good...

then moved things back, just in slightly different places...

all the blooms we have right now is amazing...

Craig did well planting this...

this was my grandma's washtub...

she has been gone 20 years now...

like a kid...

that's the way he sits with me...

especially in the wheel chair...

he likes to see where he is going...

I love this little pot that Craig got for me the first of the year...

so happy to get to use it finally!

a bird's nest that I found in the yard earlier this spring after a thunderstorm...

and the last rose bush to bloom did it today...

we got less than a tenth of rain this afternoon...

could sure use more, but we have many chances this week...

I think every day but one has rain in it...

so, might be an inside week, which give me time to catch up in here...

looks like a bomb went off again...

had a wonderful 3 day weekend with Craig...

and he has another one next week, too...

my mind is reeling with all the possible projects we can do...
