another miserable day on the prairie...

I have no idea where this heat and humidity came from...

but it can leave anytime...

I stayed inside all day...

Craig took me for a walk after 8 tonight...

I think the farmer might want to replant some of his beans...

but our beans are doing great...

and there are baby tomatoes...

I walked back here tonight...

and there are blooms on them now...

so ready for fresh green beans and sliced tomatoes...

the mechanic called on the truck today...

they can't get it to die...

isn't that the way it always goes?

if we don't get the slight chance of rain tonight...

we will be out watering early in the morning...

things looked a little dry tonight...

but no matter...

its still better than all that snow we got last winter...

and no matter how hot it gets...

there is always a time when you can get out...

an oops kind of a day...

got up to this this morning...

someone, not mentioning any names...

but this has Lester written all over it...

toppled the bird bath...

and no one is going to accuse me of having dirty birds...

got up and just headed out...

no shower, no make up...

in my jammie pants and all...

because the dew point is in the 70s for a few days...

and the temps are high enough to make it miserable...

so, while Craig was hunting down some broken bricks...

you know I keep everything cuz you just might need it...

I grabbed some shots...

and dead headed the roses...

all the while the birds are totally ticked off...

because we disturbed their breakfast time...

but it was worth it...

Craig had today off, but we didn't get much done at all...

he did find some brick pieces and we filled the pot the bird feeder sits on...

got it all moved back into place and he hauled a bucket of water out here to fill it up...

nice and clean...

probably not for long...

but for now the oops is fixed...

the autumn clematis is filling in around the bike...

and the lilies are blooming out here now...

not having very good days lately...

and not sure I don't have a bug and its not all fibro flaring...

could be a little of both...

we have more things to move in here later...

it just takes time...

and gardening is never ending...

took several naps today and even read a book...

not a bad book, either...

a smut book...

its what the guys call romance novels...

'Sleepless in Scotland' by Karen Hawkins...

I liked it...

been staying off of the internet...

just maybe bored with it...

taking most of my energy to just get through the day...

and sleeping at night for a change...

sleeping a lot for me...

they were just getting to the truck late this afternoon...

so have no idea what's wrong or how much...

hoping they call before lunch tomorrow...

its really hard to plan rides for the guys when we have no clue...

Craig works tomorrow so is hitching a ride with a friend...

and hoping he will be driving the truck home...

its less than a block from where he will be and he can walk there to get it...

I sure hope y'all are having good days...

and if its nasty there, that you are staying inside most of the time...

working outside early and late...

walking when the sun goes down...

just wanted to do a fibro post today...

that pretty much sums it up...

good thing you can't see it...

its bad enough to feel like this...

but maybe some will understand it better now...

and this is every day...

every hour...

every minute...

so, if you know someone with it...

be kind...

its not easy...

got some hot days here and staying in...

wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't so humid, too...

but it will pass and cool off again...

for a bit before the real thing happens and in just a few weeks...

still waiting on news of the truck...

they were getting to it sometime after lunch today...

DH is picking Craig up after work today, so both will be a little late...

but Charlie is ready for them!

got a wonderful day for our Saturday...

started out with a morning trip to Paris...

breakfast out with the old man and dropping off receipts to the insurance for the towing on the truck...

a drive through the park and back home again...

we had borrowed the neighbor's truck to make the trip since ours is in the shop...

and Craig had to work today...

so when Steve took the truck back after dropping me at home...

his daughter asked is we wanted to baby sit this morning for a bit...

well, sure!

baby boy A is 6 weeks old...

she wanted to take her old man golfing here in town for father's day...

and they took the older girls and left A with us...

then when the baby had left...

we started the yard work...

which wasn't much...

took a walk to see what the neighbor was doing with a back hoe in his yard...

major changes there...

tore out a deck and all the bushes around it...

moved some boulders...

just having fun...

and the mower guy went by, so back home again to pay him and chat a bit...

then in for an nap...

until Craig showed up for supper time...

and another walk to see the baby...

;)

and they are golfing again first thing in the morning...

so, guess who gets to rock and hug a baby boy?

Craig works again tomorrow...

so we will watch the baby until mom and dad pick him up...

then they have to head home to northern Indiana...

and we will go out and putter around the yard...

need to clean the bird bath again...

we have dirty birds...

trim back the rose of sharon a bit...

then more in the fall on that...

water the potted plants...

need to get a couple loads of laundry done sometime through out the day...

and another nap, too...

it got up to about 78 today with a wonderful stiff breeze...

but the temp is supposed to rise all week and hit 93 before its over...

so getting out while we can without sweating our butts off...

and the bloomers aren't doing too bad, either...

the day started out with some sun peeking through here and there...

but no more rain fell...

and we sure don't need anymore right here...

we do have lake front property again...

and the pink flamingos don't look so out of place anymore...

and now reaches into the front basket with several vines...

our new bird feeder...

almost empty...

a quiet day...

and a good thing...

a migraine started in early this morning...

but got it nipped in the bud...

outside the living room window...

the green beans and I found 2 small tomatoes tonight on one of the plants...

I think I am so ready for the weekend this week...

to have someone here with me during the days...

Charlie is doing so good!

Craig is now one of his favorite people...

and he won't let Craig even sit down when he gets home...

and lots of love...

so much to do here and not in the mood...

but I did cook an awesome supper tonight...

so they will keep me around a bit longer...

its just been one of those weeks that no matter what I touch, it looks worse than when I started...

about ready to build a bon fire and throw it all on there...

I think its time to box some stuff up and pass it off to the next person who needs something new and fun to play with...

maybe its just too many rainy days in a row...

maybe I just needed some down time...

not even been on the computer...

sometimes you just need a break from stuff...

been listening to Gordon Lightfoot and Fleetwood Mac this week, too...

nice to just have it playing in the background while I attempt to keep house...

threw in some Jim Croce, too...

light, easy listening...

maybe hard rock tomorrow to get me moving faster!
