let this not only be a day of remembering...
let it be a day of prayer for our country...
for our soldiers not home...
for us...
for all of us...

he has a forever home!

got word after we got back from the doctor today that Zoso has been adopted!
he will be leaving here on Saturday and we have a little girl coming in to take his place...
she is a 4 year old and is really cute...
photos when we get her...

got antibiotics and ear drops and muscle relaxers today...
did a tiny bit of shopping for cat food and kitten milk...
walmart didn't have the KMR, so had to run out to rural king to grab that...
we grabbed sausage biscuits at McD's after the dr to bring home for lunch...
whipped up some peppered gravy and dunked them!
it was awesome...

cloudy here all day and it stayed in the 70s...
just a few sprinkles but more coming in tomorrow...
sure looks and feels like fall...
every place had mums and hay bails...
pumpkins, too...
fall stuff out and halloween stuff creeping in...
pun intended...
ready or not, here it comes!

Eli...

got to see Eli Sunday after church...
did a photo shoot for his family...
at the state park just north of here...

just a quick post this morning to let you know what's going on...
got an ear ache and heading to the doctor this morning...
Craig is off, so we are hitting Walmart for a few things when we get done and then back home to get caught up here...

babies are growing and doing good...
still no photos of them, but hoping to do it this afternoon...
Zoso and Charlie are doing great...
we call him Scooter most of the time...
Craig is hopelessly in love with him...

just been busy and trying to do things on my own as much as I can...
still sore from Abby pulling on me so much, but she and the other dogs made their trip to the next rescue point up north...
and there were loving families waiting to foster them as they wait for their families to pick them out for their next baby...
they were all doing great!

hope y'all have a great day...
our weather couldn't be more perfect, hope it spreads out to where you are...

there's a new guy in town...

meet Zoso...
another rescue that needs foster parents until his forever family finds him...

he is very small and about 10 months old...

he was just neutered so still a little sore...

but a happy guy...
and loving...

I think he likes it here, too...

hoping this photo will help find his new family...

it was a bitter sweet day...
getting this one, but dropping Abby off for the next part of her journey to her forever home...

puppy kisses helped a bunch...
I cried coming home after leaving her...
I wish I could handle her...
she would have stayed here forever...
but this little one needs us, too...
for now...

pray for a peace to come over Abby until her family finds her...
so she won't be scared...
but I can walk Zoso and Charlie at the same time by myself...
no waiting for someone to come home so they can go potty outside...
and they can play enough inside to get their exercise...
still...
I so miss Abby...
well, time to feed babies again and then head for bed...
my days seem so full right now...
and I am trying to keep up...
so much to share, but later...
when I have time...

its all about Abby...

we love this dog...

she learned to play with toys...

and she caught on pretty good...
this is what seal brains look like, in case you ever wondered...

she pulls hard on the lead when you walk her...

and we have been working with her to stop that...

and she is fine until we hit the road...
and she just wants to run...

its all Craig could do to keep her from pulling him into the corn field...

but she is so smart...
she would learn not to pull with whoever gets her...
if they just spend a little time on it...

Craig trying to calm her down before we start back home...

she is pure muscle...

and she can sit and lay down...
on command...
for bacon strips...
we are so going to miss her when she leaves her Saturday...

and Charlie will be heart broken...
but we did our part...
and she is ready to find her home now...
she has come so far in just a week...
and the woman who worked with her for 2 weeks at the shelter did an amazing job with her...

started the baby kittens on slop tonight and spoon fed them...
they did pretty good...
I think its too soon, but the vet said to go for it...
so here we go...
we may only have them another couple of weeks...
and will be in harvest time full swing...
and I will need a break by then...
so, the high school football games have begun...
the pool is closed...
mums are for sale...
and pumpkins are almost ready for picking...
could it be that time of year again?
;0)
I think so...
