another winter Sunday drive...

hope your weekend has been a nice one...

we still have some icy places, but the most of it on the ground is gone...

gonna push 50 tomorrow...

look for the camo boot taped to the old fence post with red tape...

someone lost a good boot and the finder wanted to make sure the owner found it...

it was a bright and sunny day, but that wind was cold...

Charlie tore a claw out somehow on Friday...

no blood or anything could be found...

so I have been soaking it and putting honey and a bandage on it...

he carries it when it gets sore...

the old man is off tomorrow...

and we have a vet appointment in the afternoon for the two smallest babies...

for their check ups and shots, testing for aids and leukemia...

and if its all good...

they go up for adoption...

because me and ice are not friends...

who no longer post or visit...

added some new ones...

said a prayer for each one as I let their blog go...

some hadn't post in 3 years...

grateful for so many things here...

we have the brightest day going on...

and I have things to do, but wanted to post the rest of the photos from our Sunday drive before I get started on something else...

still praying for my surgeon!

I want him surrounded by angels with wings of protection while he is in Afghanistan...

and may God lead his hands as he operates on our warriors there...

praying for those who are sick with this stinkin' flu bug...

its the nastiest little critter and so many have it...

praying for those who are not staying warm in this cold...

and who might not have enough to eat...

so much we have to be thankful for...

my little buddy...

getting warm by the heater cuz his mama rides around with the window down taking photos all the time...

Craig got some great deals last night at Walmart on their 90% isles...

Christmas ornaments were 29 cents a box...

and those gift boxes for girls were 1.99 and .99...

he bought $250 worth of stuff for his girl friend and Doug's for Valentine's Day for me...

just took the items out of the gift boxes and will bag them up!

so who is buying Valentine's stuff already?

are you even thinking about it?

what would you say that I am decorating the trees in chocolate, red and pink by the weekend???

more from the Sunday drive...

we sure dodge an ice storm here...

we got about an inch of rain...

which would have made a big mess...

Doug showed up and spent the night...

he left after supper tonight...

Craig has been given full time hours now...

it should be on the next schedule...

see how dirty the snow is?

that's from the excessive high winds we had...

it doesn't happen too often like this...

I need prayers for my cousin who has just been diagnosed with a tumor on her liver...

the babies are doing great...

lose and playing right now...

I am hoping to get the 2 vetted the end of this week...

and then post them for adoption...

I only have one more day of antibiotics and I will be done with them!

then to get my tummy back to normal...

need to find something to do around here that I can do myself...

probably in my playroom the rest of the week...

winter prairie roads & dirty snow...

happy weekend!

I had DH take be for a drive this morning...

I haven't been out of the house all week...

and it finally made it to 30 this morning...

so off we went...

before the rain started...

and things get real interesting on the back roads...

supposed to change to freezing rain...

then sleet...

and then snow...

took Charlie with us...

he is still nervous about car rides...

but getting better all the time...

see...

in the mirror...

got his hoodie on...

when we hit the back roads...

I roll the window down...

crank up the heat and cover my legs with a throw and off we go...

Charlie is liking the air blowing in his face...

might make a dog out of him yet...

(he thinks he's a cat)

sometimes we just creep along the fields...

and I holler "whoa" if I see a shot...

DH is so good at it now...

and he likes the pics we get...

we make a good team...

hope you week ahead is a good one...

should be much warmer by next weekend...

we might even get out of town...
