I like the sound of that...

I am participating in a facebook challenge...

I must post a black and white photo for 5 days and pick someone else each day to do the same thing...

I edited more than 5...

so I am going to post all of them here for a few days...

these photos were in a file that I have been setting aside to print...

I ended up having 249 photos in the album...

which I uploaded and will have back around the 17th...

while I love looking at them online and on the computer...

I still love having things in my hands...

90% of the snow is gone from here...

and that extra hour of daylight in the evening is so nice to have...

they are calling for 61 tomorrow...

I know some around here have already had their windows open...

and we might later on...

but right now we are all fighting head colds...

we have all started snorting and sniffling...

sinus head aches and leg aches...

Craig was first, then me and finally DH...

all within 24 hours...

I just bought a 3 pack of kleenex last weekend thinking the allergy season is coming...

I don't think they will see that...

but we have them and the cold and allergy meds, too...

hope you are warming up where you are...

and you are not walking in mud and mire...

we are here...

it will soon dry out...

but we need some wind to do that...

which I don't really want, but its better than muddy feet...

good morning!

well, we didn't do our usual Sunday drive yesterday...

we went shopping again and out to lunch, again...

DH needed sunglasses, so we headed to the eye place at Walmart in Charleston...

and I picked up a few more things while we were there...

so the photo shoot happened after we got home...

while he took a nap...

we were up in the middle 40s and the snow was melting...

this is the pile at the end of the street...

it should be mostly gone after today and completely gone after tomorrow...

I bought a Vanguard tripod for my camera last week in a local online garage sale for $10...

so I decided to try it out...

I can finally zoom all the way now with the tripod...

so this is just around my yard...

our new bird feeder that we grabbed on Saturday...

got the S hooks yesterday at Ace Hardware...

hopefully, we won't have to fill every day now...

I will be playing with this more when it warms up and we can get the deck cleaned off and ready to go for summer...

I am looking forward to setting it up to get better shots of the birds when they come to feed...

I have no plans for today but to lie around and take it easy...

and rest up from the weekend...

some of you have asked what kind of camera I use...

well, its a cheap one...

when I get a new camera, I look for the amount of pixels...

the more the better the image...

and since I am limited to movement...

I like a good zoom...

I bought it off of Walmart.com...

and for a cheaper one...

you can't beat it...

I prefer Canon, even though I have used a Kodak in the past...

and they produce some great images, too...

so its up to you which brand you pick...

just look at the numbers...

and compare for the price...

if you have to deal with a company for any issues...

I have been pleased with Canon...

their customer service is awesome...

so there you have it...

no secrets here...

I just point and click...

a little therapy goes a long way...

made our monthly stock up trip yesterday to Paris...

and this is my new stash of fun...

I found these for the bears...

on clearance for $1...

I finally found them!

chalk board labels for jars!

more washi tape...

and I had to try it out last night...

and then I had this in the mail...

who could be that old?

not me, surely...

oh well, at least I am still around to get mail like this...

we had a high of 42 yesterday...

it was so wonderful!

its going to take several days to melt all this snow...

but we already have pools of water here and there...

its going to be very mushy out there...

maybe I can talk DH into a Sunday drive today...

I don't think I am going to get anything done on the kitchen this weekend...

except cooking, cleaning and dishes washed every day...

but that's ok...

there's plenty of time...

it will be done soon enough...

I also picked up 3 night gowns...

and DH bought me a cord less drill...

so I could take the cabinet doors off easier...

could that be a hint?

a couple of things I was playing around with last night...

doing our shopping today...

need to stock up again on things...

today will be our last day below 40 for awhile...

and I hope for good...

its been a long while since I have had any prints made of my photos...

so these are some that I have picked out to have done...

and to put in a scrapbook that I got last year...

maybe even the year before...

I didn't realize how much I missed color outside until I started sorting through the files...

and how much fun we have when we can be outside...

so, once today is gone...

I am hoping, as I am sure everyone else is, too..

that spring finally happens...

and how good it feels to have the windows open!

there's so much work to be done out there...

we have a lot of limbs down in the yard that need hauled to the burn pile...

which needs burning...

the north siding needs washed bad...

its turning green...

didn't get to it last fall and thought it could go until spring...

I was wrong...

too many warm days in December...

I don't know about you...

but for us, winter is officially over when we hook the hoses back up!

plans for the weekend?

or is it shopping and kitchen?
