the adjustor came and went...just like the sunshine...

'twas a dreary, gray day for the most part...

DH came home at lunch time so he could be a part of all the excitement...

I don't think the guy was here more than 10 minutes...

he will turn it all over to the next guy...

and we should know more about it in about a week...

but he did say the roof will need to be replaced along with the skylight...

so now, we just wait...

but the sun came out just before supper time...

I don't think it made it a whole 2 hours...

just enough to remind up what blue skies looked like...

with white poofy clouds...

got a call from the oldest last night...

sick...

we went and got him and he stayed the night...

doped him up good and he road back to town with Craig on his way to work...

going to the walk-in clinic tomorrow...

still gaining ground here...

feeling better every day...

the Monday after...

we had rain through the night last night...

and this morning...

but we did get our 5 minute of sunshine...

and that's all we got...

cloudy and gray but no rain...

so the rest of the post photos are what were left in the camera from the end of last week...

we had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend...

and we didn't work too hard, but we knocked a few things out...

its rained so much, we went out the island and pulled all that grass out and it was so easy!

came up, roots and all...

no photos of that...

I took the weekend off of shooting photos...

and spent the time with the guys...

got a lot done this morning, too...

3 loads of laundry...

vacuumed the kitchen dining area...

made goulash...

fed critters and changed linens in the kennels...

swept the rest of the kitchen...

and all before 10am...

I even had my shower and was dressed while I did it...

;0)

wouldn't that be the perfect place to wade through to make your way to that tree?

throw down an old quilt and have a lazy picnic?

then just lie in the shade and read a good book?

;0)

hope your weekends were wonderful, too...

Doug is sick, so prayers for him would be great!

fever and not feeling too hot...

I told him to stay home and we will get together another weekend...

I don't want whatever he has...

;0)

there's another update, too...

my brother in law finally got to come home from rehab...

doing much better and we think we finally have the answer to his problems...

pray for the doctors to get it together so they can get this straightened out...

his prostate is enlarged and had to have a catheter put it...

as soon as they did that, gallons came off...

the swelling in his legs went down and he is able to get around pretty good...

he has been working so hard at it...

doing what they tell him and more so he could get better and get back home...

we are so relieved he is home...

its been something like 3 months...

so, thanks for your prayers for him...

I so miss you today...

I think one of the greatest gifts that I ever received from God was my mom...

and she loved me more than anyone else in this world...

missing her today...

and thanking God for letting her be my mom...

my first rose of the season...

the iris are starting to open...

and the peonies are standing taller this week...

going to head out of here this morning for the weekend clinic...

I am hoping to get over there and back before lunch time...

the hydrangea leaves are full of holes from the hail last weekend...

and the ferns are coming up in it...

our skies have been rain free, but not for long...

took a quick drive just out of town last night...

just to have a cow stick his tongue out at us...

and we saw some amish at the grocery store...

usually doesn't happen here...

in other towns around us, yes...

and this is the weekend for the Spring Citywide Rummage Sales...

and I am not going...

need to do the clinic thing...

and waiting to see how much the roof is going to cost...

besides...

I really don't NEED a thing...

rain coming in later this afternoon...

and then hanging around for several days...

another weekend without much yardwork and its beginning to show...

well, it will still be there when we get to it...

the rain will make it easier to pull the weeds, anyway...

the week is almost gone...

the guys came back and patched the hole so rain won't get in...

the adjustor comes on Tuesday...

got some flowers in those weeds...

gosh dern, if they didn't shoot up after the hail storm...

and we are supposed to have a rainy weekend again...

have no idea when we will get to them...

one of our big wood peckers feeding...

we have a smaller black and white version, too...

and this little baby is ready to go...

his mama is getting him on Monday...

gonna miss his cuddles...

the other litter is just about ready to climb out of the kennel, so won't be long before we have to start shutting the door...

mama has been able to come and go to feed and take care of them...

I have 2 of those adopted out already and 2 to start shooting so I can get them posted...

time is flying by here...

heading for the weekend clinic on Sunday...

ear infections and sore throat...

had a nasty bout with the IBS today...

so need to get this nipped in the bud...

I would like to wish all of you a happy Mother's Day...

I love and miss my mom...

but she is waiting for me on the other side...

and she is ok there...

and I am ok here...
