day #2 of rain...

cloudy and damp here...

it finally made it to the bird feeder this morning...

been staying in the north part of the yard and around the mulberry...

we got our cool days back and will be plenty of step sitting going on...

we could use some rain...

but not 6 inches worth...

enjoy these days...

love the ever blooming flowers...

the sun is out this morning, after several days of grays...

and the roses are blooming...

love yellow roses...

and the morning glories are awake...

they are right by the shed...

love having them around the deck area...

they are always along the field...

but we don't see them every day back there...

I had to take a down day yesterday...

too much over the weekend...

and layer the border stones Craig brought home...

but chipper again this morning...

pain wise...

I already need a nap...

got up way too early...

morning glories in bloom this morning...

Craig picked up more of these and we laid them last night trying to beat the rain that didn't happen...

and I had enough left to finish this up around the corner...

I am going to rework part of that this weekend...

I left a couple of gaps and want those gone...

and the spider wart is still blooming...

down in my hips today from doing all of that...

but its so worth it...

what we did this morning...

got a text from Craig yesterday afternoon...

mom, I got 40 blocks...

???

all kinds of images were going through my head...

what kind of blocks?

concrete blocks?

how much is this costing me?

LOL

turned out that the blocks were these...

they will make a circle...

takes 8 to do that and its a really tight circle...

so, I lined them up and stacked them 2 high...

and the brick border we had before went on top to hide that they are triangular and not square...

love the contrast with the brick...

so they are holding back the front flower bed by the driveway...

love them...

cost: 25 cents each...

that's a whole whopping $10 there...

woo hoo on upping the curb appeal on $10!

when I win the lottery...

I'm buying a semi load of these...

and hiring a couple of hot younger dudes to lay them...

yep, that's what I am gonna do...
