HELLO...I NEED A HOME...SOON...I'M CUTE...

AND CUDDLY AND I PURR REAL GOOD...

Terri brought me a garden totem!

Here it is- my very own garden totem- itsn't it cool?
When we got done with the weeding and moving around- Craig decided to lay on the couch- big mistake...

They were all asleep when we came back in - but one door slam and they sprung to life again...

Found this one all by himself in the big chair...

We moved the chairs and table here...

I saw a blog last night that used a gate in a booth and the lady had all kinds of neat things clothes pinned to it- and it was painted white- so later this will be white- and I was trying to find somewhere to string a little clothes line to hang my garden gloves on- so this is the perfect solution... and I can always find them...

Ruth and Craig weeding...

My big project this morning...the brick on the left need to be extended here and then I planted 2 marigolds here...

Ta Da- Not bad for an old lady...

I have always loved playing in the dirt...

Craig and Steve taking a mini break while I decide what's next...

The tiger lilies...

The yellow rose open all the way...

I love this rose...
Have a great day...more later...

Another beautiful day on the prairie...

Ruthie is getting better all the time at taking photos of the flowers...
It was hard work so she grabbed her book- her favorite pasttime- and a cat and they both curled up in a chair in the side yard and spent time together...

After a year the grass seed came up and its looking better...

There is no more room for anything in the front bed...
The spider wart sure started blooming...

Violets won't last long here once the weather turns hot, so we enjoy them while we have them...

The blue salvia is looking so pretty after all the rain...

A bit of grapevine and an old chair for a birdbath- nothing better...

My view from the swing through the trees...

The yellow old fashion rose is blooming...

Rebecca found this for me years ago- I just told her what I wanted and she brought this back...

My goofy little swinging duck- I have had this for years and he's still hanging around...

Ruth got down on her tummy for this shot...

And this one too!
The guys went shopping in Charleston and left us alone in all the peace and quiet- it was wonderful- sitting outside listening to the birds while a cool light breeze kept everything cooled off- even those of us with periodic hot flashes- but then they came home and tranquil went away with the click of the remote...sigh...

A year ago tonight the rains began and added up to over 12 inches-

this was taken by our neighbor- my camera was not working at the time...when she pans to the right- thats our yard or pond...

ITS A GREAT DAY!
MY LATEST IDEA- GOT THIS BASKET FREE FROM A NEIGHBOR- IT HAD BEEN IN THE FLOOD LAST YEAR AND NO ONE WANTED IT- CAN'T BRING IT IN THE HOUSE- SO I HALF BURIED IT LIKE THE OLD WHISKEY BARRELS AND PLANTED SOME PURPLE PETUNIAS...
