I'm feeling a little...

pink today...

I usually save the pinks for PINK SATURDAY...

but I think we need a little pink on hump day...

just to get us over that little bumpy time...

how's your day going?

we are gearing up for some indoor time...

the temps are going up for just a few more days...

going to be hard on the kids in school...

they will be letting out early because of the heat...

we have got some sorting and cleaning done today...

more cooking...

more playing with babies...

just hanging out waiting for the sun to go down and it to cool off some more...

and then a walk...

and listening to crickets...

and just taking time to take it all in...

I had one of those...

I didn't get a lot done...

I do want to thank all of you for your prayers and kind words for Rebecca...

losing Buddy yesterday so soon after Miss Kitty has been so hard...

It's 11:30pm and I still haven't got a shower yet...

will have to take it in the dark so I don't wake DH...

and then maybe more computer time or I might just grab something and start sorting...

Thursday and Friday are supposed to be in the high 90s again...

I guess one last hooray for summer...

as August fades and September begins...

we have been blessed with some very lovely days lately...

and soft, soothing breezes...

an abundance of crickets singing and birds floating on spread wings...

sad to see summer go and anxious for fall to set the world ablaze...

so full of spunk...

can swat and hiss one minute...

and just curl up and cuddle the next...

will do good in a home with kids...

she can hold her own...

they are almost ready to go...

they will go up for adoption this weekend...

Thumper...

a big cuddler...

and Tori who is trying so hard to grow whiskers...

is so much smaller than the other 2...

and will be staying here...

she's a mama's girl...

my bestie, Rebecca, had to put her dog Buddy down today...

he had cancer...

and it is so hard to have to go through that...

so we talked awhile on the phone this afternoon...

keep her in your prayers...
