We got clouds...

looky, looky...
we are not getting a lot of rain...
but hopefully more tonight...
Tia came with her camera...
its so dark and dreary...
I love it!...
we will be sprucing this up later this week...
it is 66 out!...
just unreal...
then it's supposed to get colder and somewhere, they keep mentioning snow...
been busy rearranging things...
from one room to another...
the island has been tamed again!...
I do not know how it gets so bad in here...
honestly, we must have gremlins...
well, need to crack the whip some more before we have to stop for supper...

works in progress...

here are 3 more wall hangers in progress...
they are in need of bling...
the 2 on the left are pop tart sides...
the one on the right is a Taco Bell take out box...
and this is an idea I'm playing with...
not sure how they will end up...
these are pringles lids...
the scanner works on flat things...
but I wish I could show you what else I have going...
while cleaning the bathroom this morning...
the little waste basket was so full of toilet paper rolls...
so I grabbed on and started gluing stuff on it and it looks good...
and my brain is going 90 mph trying to come up with an idea for it...
so now I'm looking around the house and in the trash to see what else we have been tossing that I could do something with...

*disclaimer*
nothing vintage was harmed in any process
only photo images were used

today's playtime...

I did a letter for my dad that needs to go out ASAP!...
I hope he likes it...
I talked to my step mom until midnight last night...
dad loves the VA nursing home!...
he is doing so well there!...
his attitude and behavior are so much better now that they have him on a diabetic diet and his sugar levels must be staying in the proper range now.
they have 12-15 birds behind glass in there that he sits and watches...
dad and my step mom fed humming birds for years on their place and had thousands of them every year...
there were a HB refuge...
and people would come from miles away to watch their birds come and feed...
they went through over a thousand pounds of sugar a year...
so this is a big happy thing for him...
dh and I went for a short ride around town after he took me for a walk...
it's 61 out and very cloudy/ foggy and the wind is a bit chilly...
but it was so nice to get out for a bit...
didn't have my camera to show you what we saw...
but it was fun...
hope you are having a great day!

Thanksgiving time...

doesn't this remind you of school days and family gathering...
we drove through the snow...
and in Ohio...
there were many years we had snow for Thanksgiving...
most of them were snow covered...
and we went to my grandparents for dinner...
over the hills and through the woods...
because for a time...
we lived in a different town...
and we would always sing that song in school right before gobble day...
and we traced our hands and made the most wonderful turkeys to take home to mom...

but time moved on...
and I took my kids over the river and through the woods to my grandparents home...
and sometimes, other family members were with us...
but soon...
time moved on...
and they were gone...
one by one...
and the chairs became fewer around the table...
and this year there will be four for dinner...
just our family...
small, but together...
and this will be the first Thanksgiving for just the four of us...
and it could be the only one that there are only four of us...
because time moves on...
someone may not be here next year...
or there may be someone new...
a new daughter in law...
even a new child...
you never know...
we are going to have a grand time...
just the four of us...
and the boys are going to be cooking...
and they can do it well..
I will step in every now and then...
but they have already told me they are doing it...
I get the day off....
we are doing ham...
they are not big fans of turkey...
and all the trimmings...
and hopefully...
leftovers for several days...
but I doubt it...
and we will remember this time...
until there is no time left...
and when the boys move on and have families of their own...
they will look back and say remember the time?...
when the dish washer broke down?...
and mom made us do the hokey pokey?...
and we did the cooking?...
and their kids will drive over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house...
because time will keep moving on...
I may not get to blog much this next week until this is all over...
Craig is off for 9 days and we have much to catch up on...
so I wanted to wish you all...
THE VERY BEST THANKSGIVING YOU HAVE EVER HAD!
and blogging will get back to normal after it's done...
because time moves on...
Hugs- Tete
