n.

The ability or tendency to form such images.
The ability to confront and deal with reality by using the creative power of the mind; resourcefulness: handled the problems with great imagination.
A traditional or widely held belief or opinion.
Archaic.
An unrealistic idea or notion; a fancy.
A plan or scheme.imaginational i·mag'i·na'tion·al adj.
SYNONYMS imagination, fancy, fantasy. These nouns refer to the power of the mind to form images, especially of what is not present to the senses. Imagination is the most broadly applicable: "In the world of words, the imagination is one of the forces of nature" (Wallace Stevens). Fancy especially suggests mental invention that is whimsical, capricious, or playful and that is characteristically well removed from reality: "All power of fancy over reason is a degree of insanity" (Samuel Johnson). Fantasy is applied principally to elaborate or extravagant fancy as a product of the imagination given free rein: "The poet is in command of his fantasy, while it is exactly the mark of the neurotic that he is possessed by his fantasy" (Lionel Trilling).

It's Fall !!!!!!!!!!!!

and is it a bit nippy out there...
we had wind yesterday that blew some things over...
the spiders have settled in...
these are from my friends...they grow the best things...
and the corn in finally turning...with the inch of rain we got...we need the wind to dry out the corn and the beans so they can get to picking...I am sure some of it will come out while the snow is falling if the weather doesn't start cooperating more...moisture content on the corn is still very high even though the elevator here is running a special on drying...1/2 price for that...I know they worked the last two weekends loading trains to get the bins empty for the new haul...and so HARVEST begins...its gona be a long one...be safe out there, guys...

Check out my nuts...

the walnuts show up really good against the dark storm clouds that just went through...
we have never had this many before...the more nuts...the harder the winter...
we just got an inch of rain out of those clouds...
the sun is coming out over here and its still raining...
glad we got this mowed before the rain started...
steve finally got home...he had to work today but was 2 hours late coming home...they decided to finish what they had started...
sweet and sour chicken with veggies is in the oven for tomorrow....
I made him a stromboli and its in there now for supper tonight...
have a good one and hang in there...there's always a rainbow after the storm...

Some of you think I have been slacking...

but there just hasn't been anything new around here to post...
until this morning...solar jack o lantern...
we moved things around on the deck again...Mr Scarecrow is here now...
and a fence section from Jeannie Rankins...
the wheelbarrow filled with leaves and gourds and one small pumpkin...
its been raining the last several days...and was very foggy and wet this morning...we cleaned and rearranged in the gloomy morning hours...only to have the sun pop out just as we were getting done...
dead things from the yard make the best fall bouquets...
and a window frame from Jeannie...
and the other fence section from her, too...
now its your turn to post something fun!

Our Sunday Drive...

stopped by Jane's and handed off her item...but forgot to take a picture of it first...the new home of Mr. Scarecrow...
then we went out of town and around a bend and found cows...
and all the colors of fall beginning...
a few of the bean fields look like this...but most are still small and very green...
the leaves are just beginning to hint at a little color...
and the fall flowers are in bloom...
a wonderful 1940s-50s style shed...the look like the old barracks the soldiers lived in...
the corn is starting to turn in a handful of fields but this one has a red tint to it...wonder if it could be popcorn???
the pond at the bottom of the hollow is scum covered and low...today is our first rain of the month...
just a simple country road...they used to be dirt...but that was some time ago...
more beans...
a cool fence row..
a scrub field that didn't get planted in time...
and another one...
coming back into town...the elevator in the background...
the backside of the elevator...ground pile areas in foreground...they are loading a train today...the overtime has already begun for these boys...
train cars waiting their turn to be loaded...they can load a car in 6 minutes...amazing...

It began raining on us coming home...we need the rain...a county west has flash flood warnings out...I don't think we have anything to worry about...it's just a drizzle now...
Have a good day!
