another job...done...

the dreaded junk pile...
before...........and after...
this is what you see from the road...

before..............and after...
what's behind it all...
and no snakes!
I was delighted and surprised...
the wagon is full of wood for the fire pit...
and we don't need the dog cat house until fall...
there used to be a shed out here...
but in one of those fun, wild storms...
it landed in the field one winter...
and that's all there was to that...

got up this morning and this guy was mad...
not much feed out there...
so, on the way to the pile, we stopped and loaded them up again...

it drizzled right before we headed out, but it soon quit...
my online weather source said the rain would be coming in around 2pm...
they lied...

its raining in this shot...

this belonged to my father in law...
a coaster bike...
going to strip all the 'new' gadgets off of it and paint it pink...

we pitched a lot of junk...
trimmed trees, raked and did a general clean up...
and the rain got harder, so we came in, got showers and ate lunch...
as soon as I got out of the shower...
the sun came out...
of course...

just took a walk and we have bean greens...

and day lilies...

and the next generation of bean greens...

this one is big enough to pick...

rose of sharon is budding...

and we have been cleaning inside...
laundry...
and playing with babies...
on hard food and water now...
and they are cranky...
but they get over it and play and run around...

I am heading in to take a nap soon...

DH is already there...

I am pretty sure Craig will follow, too...

its still in the 70s here...

baby tomatoes...
it won't be long until we are eating as much as we want of these...

everything is pretty wet...
we got half an inch of rain yesterday...
and then more this morning...

and the junk will leave in the morning...

and that's how we do Sundays on the prairie...
get it done so we can lie around...
have a good one!
;)

Tori has a request...

"I want to thank everyone for praying for me when I was sick, but now we need you guys to pray for Mikatlyn."

Tori posted this on her facebook this week...
and I had the grandest time talking to her last night...
and through the past year, she has battled and beaten cancer...
but her concern is not for herself...
because the doctors have fixed her...
her concern is for her sister...
sweet Mikatlyn...
she has Crohn's...

Crohn's disease, also known as Crohn syndrome and regional enteritis, is a type of inflammatory bowel disease that may affect any part of the gastrointestinal tract from mouth to anus, causing a wide variety of symptoms. It primarily causes abdominal pain, diarrhea (which may be bloody if inflammation is at its worst), vomiting (can be continuous), or weight loss, but may also cause complications outside the gastrointestinal tract such as skin rashes, arthritis, inflammation of the eye, tiredness, and lack of concentration. Crohn's disease is caused by interactions between environmental, immunological and bacterial factors in genetically susceptible individuals. This results in a chronic inflammatory disorder, in which the body's immune system attacks the gastrointestinal tract possibly directed at microbial antigens.

a single tear slipped down her cheek as she told me that they have almost lost her sister twice now and that they are taking her to a new doctor next week...
one she hopes will help her...
before disease...

seeing Tori through her first chemo...

both girls have told me that they want to be nurses...

so they can help kids like them...
to show them that there is more to life than hospital beds...
so they will not be afraid...

3 siblings...
cancer, crohn's and the army...

she turns 18 today...

these girls are close...
they have been through more in their tiny lives than most of us will ever see...
and its not over...
they have been there for each other time and again...
they hung on when it mattered the most...
and they are still fighting for each other...

please pray for remission...
for the right doctor...
for a cure...

"I want to thank everyone for praying for me when I was sick, but now we need you guys to pray for Mikatlyn."

you know what to do...

its another sunny day...

and the humidity is down to 76%!

it was 99% yesterday...

and its not too hot out there yet...

not getting too much done today...

its just one of those days that the time is just flying by...

but DH and I did get the line up on the tomatoes last night...

it reminds me of cat's cradle...

not sure if I could even do that anymore...
and the guys are not that interested in it...
maybe I will get a granddaughter one of these days...

we have totally blue skies here...
not a cloud!

snap dragons!

and there are always roses...

pretty, pink roses...

well, I am going to scoot out of here and get something done...

starting with a walk and lunch...
;)
have a blessed weekend and hope you have plenty of sunshine and smiles...
hugs...

it finally happened...

the sun actually came out today...

took a stiff breeze to blow those clouds out of here...

but it finally did it...

DH and I sat in the swing this evening and watched the shadows...

my son went to his interview...

and the HR's computer kept crashing...

so she said she would call him to come back for a second interview...
and told him to bring back 2 forms of ID...

she called late afternoon and he goes back to see her tomorrow afternoon...

if he gets hired...
and it is looking pretty good...

he will be sent for a drug test...

she told him 8.50 to start...
and he would have to do this job for 180 days and then he would be able to move up to an inside job...

he will be the cart gatherer, help in maintenance and crush boxes...

he is so excited...

you would have thought he was making 100,000. a year...
but its not official...
yet...
so keeping praying...
it might be good for him to bust his rear...

and some wise words...
have a good sleep...
;)
