Monday's sunset...minus the sun...

Craig went out to walk the dogs before it got dark last evening...
and he ran right back in wanting the camera...
and in the sky were 3 flocks of geese joining up...
and they were flying north...
???
is winter over?
I don't think so...

White Wednesday...

Debbie, the sweetest blogger you will ever meet...
has been handed some bad news...
uterine cancer...
I would like to dedicate my WW post to her...
and ask that you grab the button above and post it on your website...
and remember her in prayer every day until her battle is won...
she is scheduled for surgery on the 11th...
Laurie at Heaven's Walk is keeping us posted...
since being on the computer makes Debbie dizzy now...
if you click here...
you will find Laurie's post on Debbie and an address to send cards and cheery thoughts her way...
Please help her by joining in the fight...
Happy WW!

as you can probably tell...

I have been up allllllll night...
but it is a better morning...
and last boil hasn't opened, but it is getting smaller...
so whatever way it wants to go...
it's gotta be better than last night...
so, I have had breakfast...
going to take a real quick shower...
and then I am going to bed...
poor Craig was up with me...
I couldn't get up or down by myself...
I thought for sure we would be in the ER this morning...
but I prayed all night last night and it is better...
I am in good hands...
I hope you all have a good day!
it looks pretty out but it's cold...
wear your long johns...
pink with lace...
I'll be up later!
“Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:
For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.” (1 Corinthians 12:4)

Looking back...October 2010...

boy, was this a month...
everything was so dry...
but harvest was early and we didn't mind it so much...
and we had spooky all over...
and we had a thief...
who took scary pirate guy early in the month...
but our local police returned him safe and sound...
it was a time of PINK SATURDAYS...
cleaning up until next spring...
mums were blooming...
the sun was shining on a freshly tilled field...
crows were cranky...
persimmons rotted before the frost could turn them sweet...
waiting for a hug...
our water spicket on the north lot got so many comments...
fall decorating...
new dinner ware...
cooler days for comfort foods...
my scary pirate guy that was taken...
witches broom made by my son and his friend...
Doofus playing Jack Sparrow...
and Daphne wasn't impressed...
bwahahahaha...
became a word...
and Bebe was ready to go trick or treating...
so that's it for October 2010...
and the end of looking back...
I think you can all remeber November and December since it just happened like last week...
time sure has been flying...

sorting old photos...

I have been scanning some old photos to get into files so I can order copies for my kids and some cousins...
so these are the ones I found of me...
so far...
these were taken in Ohio...
that's me sitting on the bread...
in my grandma's kitchen before they redid it...
I had a thing about sitting on bread...
this was Christmas and I was 16 months old...
notice the stragegically placed furniture so I couldn't get to the TV and fireplace...
that's granny in the background...
my dad and me and all my animals...
see my hickory dickory clock?
I got my first tricycle that year...
I fell alseep on my dad...
I spent a lot of time on his lap in that old recliner...
Ok- it's not that I am not happy...
I am now officially blind...
it happened every Christmas morning...
dad used a huge flood light to take movies...
I totally couldn't see anyone...
I would look to where the voices came from...
Santa and me in Ashland, Ohio on the corner of where the Grant Department Store was...
me and my brother...I was 4...
my mom could never cut my bangs straight...
my 5th birthday...
and then mom cut my hair and I started kindergarten...
this is my first day of school ever with my pink rug that I would take my naps on...
see my ugly shoes?
I hated going to the shoe store in the fall to get my school shoes...
I wore a AA width...
with extremely high arches...
they usually only had one pair in my size...
but every now and then they would have two to pick from..
ugly and uglier...
see the bottles on the tv...
they were old decanters that my mom had given to her...
we filled them with water and green food coloring!
my 7th birthday...
Mifflin Lake, Ohio...
my mom made my outfit...
it was August 17th, 1969...
and this was my birthday present!
I even have on my pop beads!
10 minutes after this photo...
I was covered in methyolate...
yeah,  I crashed...
didn't scratch my bike at all...
but I did a number on my knees, ankles, elbows and the all of the in between hide I had...
it was the coolest bike ever and I was so tough on it!
it had a banana seat with purple flowers!
I rode that bike for 8 years...
I would dig it out in the spring...
wash it and chrome cleaner to clean the shiny parts...
air the tires and I wouldn't get off of it until late fall...
we had to put our bikes up in the winter...
which I thought was so unfair...
there will be more later...
but not of me...
whew...
