today...

this is how my house looks when you feed the guys too much...

and yes, I took my nap too, after I got proof of them sleeping it off...

and then we all started stirring again and went outside...

and they took me for a walk down the street...

and Doofus was a bad boy standing in the flower bed...

my baby...

and Boofy was drinking out of a mud puddle...

and we had partly cloudy skies...

and when the sun was out it was so nice...

and then we came back and I started shooting...

the iris are coming!

and everything has grown so much since the rain...

soon we will have shade again...

and tulips are still popping up...

and the columbine have little flower buds...

the tiger lilies are coming along...

and I was so excited to have the most beautiful pink tulips!

there are 2 of them so far...

and my guys...

this is how they really are...

Craig made sure I had Easter bunnies to post...

and Robbie sticking his tongue out...

and once a mom...

always a mom...

his tummy was hanging out...

LOL

we had a good day...

I had a sinus headache for most of it...

but it finally went away...

and we ate so much...

but it was so good!

I didn't get any photos of it...

bad me...

maybe leftovers tomorrow will find their way onto the blog...

yesterday's drive in the rain...

DH and I took a little drive in the rain just outside of town...

you know how I love the rain...

and I told him that I missed being able to walk in it and drive in it...

so we loaded up the truck and headed out...

and it started out very dark with a slow steady rain...

and the rain even showed up when the flash went off...

but it slowly passed by and began clearing off...

and the little streams are swollen with the spring rains...

but the clouds just got better and better...

the closer to home we got...

and the birds were flying...

and singing again...

and the clouds were pushed along...

water stood in the fields...

the ground is saturated...

but the awesomeness remains...

and as we drove, things had changed since last weekend...

and the farmers are anxious to get started...

but unless they plant rice...

it's going to have to wait just a wee bit longer...

and that was our afternoon...

in the rain...

just us and the camera...

we had our Easter dinner a little bit ago...

so we can have leftovers tomorrow and Monday...

DH is off until Tuesday...

the Cub game is on tv...

and 3 guys are snoring in the living room...

I'm either going outside again...

it's a sunny afternoon after a morning rain...

or I'm heading for my bedroom for a nap...

can't decide on which...

even the animals are zonked out...

I sure hate wasting a sunny day...

but gee...

I might as well join them...
