All the flowers of all the tomorrow's are in the seeds of today and yesterday.

Guess what's in the oven???

dessert...cherry...it will be gone in 2 days... it's a pobsp...a cross between a pie, a cobbler and a crisp...the left over dough is mixed in the pie filling...the crust is my mom's recipe...made by the way it feels...crisco, flour and a touch of water...and then the top is half a stick of melted butter mixed in with cinnamon spice instant oatmeal...add a little sugar to canned cherry pie filling...it tends to be sour...if you like chocolate and cherries together...drizzle chocolate syrup thinly over across the top...mmmmmmmmm...

Cleaning out my scrapbooking drawers:

our 2004 Christmas scrapbook...
Ben and Cole came by while on break...

some fun stuff...

nutcrackers and snowmen...
2005 Christmas scrapbook...
my father in law...
Craig and Fred and our skinny tree the guys hate so much...
From 2001- my boys...what can I say...
this is when Doug was engaged to Rachel...
Craig and Doug at Indy in 1992...
we used to got the Time Trials every spring...
ok...don't laugh...but these are the Tiger Cubs...and that's me as their leader...Craig is holding my hand...the hats were too big for their heads...the boys were in Kindergarten...and this was one of the pack meetings...Craig was 6...
Doug at the pack meeting...he had a ball game to do, too...he was 11...

our tiger cubs...Craig is the 5th one from the left...this was at the Methodist Church...that was so long ago...and then they all grew up...but it was fun and they had a good time doing it...hope all these boys take time to spend with their kids when they become parents...

Scrapbooking my poems and more...

what I do with my little pieces of scrap...I make gift tags out of it...
this was for Steve one year for Valentines...
I pick a theme and then write about it...
or I write about a photo or image out my window... like the first robins in the spring...
sometimes it begins with just one thing...then it unfolds...I go through spells where I write a lot...and then I don't for a long time...poetry cannot be forced...it must come easy...my best ones are the ones where I write them in less than a minute...

Good Morning !

I made 3 signs last night for my neighbor who is a frog collector and then I did one for me...I'm a little rusty...been awhile since I painted anything...
I love this little bunch...but you have to peek around the taller things to find it...you always need a little surprise in every garden...
Craig behind the corn- there are no tassels yet...
bee balm in bloom...
we did our walk a little late this morning...I got up with a sinus head ache...its almost gone now...hopefully the rest of the day will be better... Ben, Craig's friend, came by late last night and me and the guys sat around the fire while we talked and caught up on eveything...Ruth came by yesterday and picked up the rest of her stuff...
