its time to let go...

this would have been wonderful if it was in the west...
but it didn't build until it was past us and is now raining at Indy...

and the stress is showing everywhere...
and its time...

I think, to start letting some things go...
the annuals are looking bad now...

they had done so well to hang on for as long as they did...
but there is more of the same coming the next 10 days...

mower guy called today and I said sorry, but we don't need a mower this week...
4 weeks now...

there is much to do out there, but its just too hot...
and when its not hot, its humid and might as well be...
there will be much to do when cooler weather moves in this fall...

its come to the time where we have to pick what we try to save...
and the bushes and bulbs come first...
time to trim things back and keep the roots alive...
everything above ground is toast...
so there is not a lot to post about here...
or take photos of...

so far, the trees and shrubs are holding on...
and the roses don't look pretty, but they are still alive...
the tomatoes are coming on...
we have a chance of 1/4 to 1/2 inch tomorrow and then nothing for another week...
I hope we don't have another summer like this ever...
worst I have ever seen...
and a friend posted photos of Kentucky and they are having bad flooding there...
whackiest year ever, don't you think?

come on fall...
come early and stay long...
I am so ready for a change...

need prayer again...

well, the spooky things behind the furniture will just have to wait...
Craig's friend, Chris, has been here all day...
they are best friends...
and Chris just lost his grandma...
not just any grandma...
she had a business here in town on the square and would have celebrated 40 years there this fall...
she was in the Chamber of Commerce and several other organizations...
she was a real gem...
and the whole town is going to miss her...
but right now, her family is dealing with a loss so great...
and sometimes its hard to let go of them...
visitation is tomorrow night and then the funeral is Friday...
so if you could remember all those that are about to say their final goodbyes in your prayers, it would be great...
Craig will be there every step of the way...
Chris was there when Craig lost his grandpa not so long ago...
and Craig was there for him when he lost his, too...
cause that's what friends do...
they hold each other up when knees get weak...
when hearts break and when its so hard to go on...
I am glad that these 2 grew up to be fine men and kept each other in their lives...
best friends...
die hard friends are a treasure...
pray for these grown men as they walk a path that we all have to face...
its just a bit harder for us when its our kids having to do it...

one of the best sounds in the world...

is a summer rain...

on a tin roof...

we got a lot of thunder and lightening yesterday afternoon...
but less than a tenth of an inch of rain...
but we'll take it...
we are over cast again this morning, but nothing showing on the radar...
its building on top of us again...
and its so humid out...
heat and pollen advisory again today...
the green is sneaking back into the yard slowly...
still more brown than green...

and a couple of the furballs were playing king of the recliner...

just as she was gaining momentum...
whack...
a paw stopped her cold...

Princess Bleubell...
the guys gave her the princess part...
thinks she owns the place...
and I guess she's staying...
she gets along with everyone...

and my supper the night before last...
check out that garden fresh tomato...
grown locally...
we are starting to get the roma tomatoes now...
but not quite ready for the beef masters...
but it won't be long...

doing well this week with just 1/2 a pill...
blood sugar is up enough to where I have some energy and no more crashing...
need to get dressed soon...
keep putting it off...
yep, its one of those days...
well, off to discover what lies behind the furniture this week...
