It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see.

The now famous Mr Toadstool:

while Craig was watering...I snuck back to check on Mr Toadstool...poor boy is beginning to age...
then...out of no where...the Mad Hatter appeared...grabbed the camera and mumbled something about amateur photographers...and he got this shot...which isn't too bad...
and this one...before he shoved the camera back in my hands and disappeared into the corn field...he's evidently been following the blog...and wasn't too happy with what we have been doing...so he took matters into his own hands...I must say he was very rude...but the outcome was a couple of good photos...I know you won't believe a word of this and if I hadn't been in shock...standing there with my mouth wide open drawing flies...I would have sprung into action and snapped a few photos of his backside diving into the corn...maybe next time I will be more ready...just ask yourself what would you have done...I'll bet the fly thing, too...

Watering time:

the next fun thing to do...
Craig... the watering master...
we are having great weather...sorry about you guys in the south smothering...but it's good here...
suprise!...surprise lilies...remember their greens came up in the spring and then died down...
tweeked the new bench...I like it...need to find another broken swing to make another one for the other side...
filling in...
fence...
the last blooms of these day lilies...it's bye bye until next year..

My new knock out rose:

I am so thrilled with this rose's color... I wish I had a dozen of them...got it out at Beck's...things look so bad out there...this had to be dead headed so bad and it needs water and trimmed a little and it will be so pretty...they used to take care of things out there and everything that I saw needs some major tlc...they are still stocked full of annuals...this rose last year was $8...this year it's $12 ...

Life begins the moment you start a garden.

Re purposing:

broken swing...was heading for the burn pile...
but I had an idea...
take it apart and reuse the pieces...
for a bench and a trellis...but this didn't work...
so we restacked...and this did...bench seating around the fire pit...more later...doing lunch...
