been there, done that...

well, the EZ Clinic wouldn't do anything about the blood sugar, so DH went one way and I got pushed to the ER...
but I did get to watch tv in there...
HGTV with Scott of Income Property....
took all morning...
but got my antibiotics and the metformin...
thank you, Dr Ernest!

neither one of us had had anything to eat yet and it was after 12...
so what could I eat with my blood sugar over 200?
we got fish sandwiches and I tossed the bun...
plain...
but it worked...
we had dropped off the scripts at Walmart before coming here...
knowing they take a long time...
then we ate in the Kroger parking lot...
then we shopped...
I rode in one of those carts and it had a big basket on it...
we got everything in it without DH having to try to push a cart one handed...

this old station is on the edge of town...
they sell 'anitques'...
my friends have told me not to bother even stopping...
that none of us can afford the prices...
and from the outside stuff...
I think they are right when they say its a junk pile...
they were cleaning it up today...
you should have seen it before...
I imagine the city got on them about it...
imagine 20 times more crap out there...
day and night, year after year...
not pretty...

so, I have taken a metformin and just waiting for it to kick in...
DH got antibiotics and cough medicine with codeine...
Dr Ernest thinks its just the infection, too and will drop back down as soon as the meds kick in...
about 3 days from now...
;)
see, I went...
I love it when my blogging buddies chew me out!
it means you care!
Love you all!

it was a ruffled feather kind of a day...

old yeller...
in trouble...
curtain climber, basket shredder...

our funky squirrel...
lounging...

going down again...

rusted metal through naked limbs...

I love this guy...

pretty...

and cranky today...

ruffled up a bit...

even the robins, and I counted 3 today...

males fighting over a girl again...

even had the cardinals flapping it out...
he won...

and this is my secret disgrace...
shhhhh....
don't tell...
its Craig's flower bed....
and his dinosaur...
when he outgrew him in his room, he wanted to put him out here...
I said ok, until he falls apart, then he has to go...
this stegosaurus has lasted longer than the original version...
that thing has been out there at least a dozen years or better...
just be careful what you promise a kid...
it could bite you on the butt for years...

my blood sugar isn't dropping much...
so, talked to my cousin tonight...
its the infection...
we are going to the clinic in the morning...
the metformin I have is 2 years old and doesn't work anymore...
so I need new of that...
and antibiotics...
then I should be back to normal within a week or two...
DH cannot push me and Craig has to work, so someone there is just going to have to help us get in and out...
we could get snow and ice on Sunday...
cannot not go this weekend....

I will post when we get back...
and let you know what happened...
;)
