A candle is not dimmed by lighting another candle.

Ryan Bruce update!

On Friday after 75 plus days...
the feed tube was finally pulled...
and...
Ryan went home!...
he is home now with his family...
and they have so much ahead of them still...
but this is such a big step...
they still need our prayers...
they are so grateful for all the support and prayers that have been whispered for Ryan and for them...

my playtime...

I like making collages...
I loved the idea when in grade school, our art teacher, introduced me to the idea of chaotic order...
that's me...
that's the way I see the world...
through all the chaos...
there is order...
random images are like random thoughts...
chaotic until they are put in order...
the first one represents the song or joy in your heart...
the ladies are the souls of my friend and I...
old souls in the wrong time...
but joined through the joy, the song...
and the white flowers are our love for all things that grow...
the second one the background is a hand written vintage letter...
one that the butterfly lady would write home to tell of her adventures...
and all that she has seen flying on the back  of the butterfly...
oh, the tales she could tell...

hope you make order out of your chaos...

morning madness...

Georgie backed up the truck...
and then hopped out to help...
he missed the tree...
so all is good...
and the gravel bags start coming...
and I totally underestimated on the amount we would need...
by about half...
but we did with what we had...
and the rest can be added later...
and it looks better...
and we bought more pavers...
and it has to be level...
sort of...
and we worked on this...
and here it is...
I like it...
we all did our part...
this was Daphne's...
and there were comments from the peanut gallery...
they were shocked at what they saw...
I don't think I should claim the double decker hammock as my original idea...
but Craig and Mr Wiggles think the Gilligan's Island set up works for them...
look on the bottom for Mr Wiggles...
a special built in kitty hammock....
and now there is snoozing time in the shade...
bought the hammock off of Rebecca and her dad...
she bought it for him for Father's Day and he never took it out  of the bag...
so they sold it to us- $30...
I couldn't even come close to that online...
so this will do...
and then Steve snagged these for my early birthday present on the half off isle at Big Lots...
I know there's a lot of different patterns going on here...
but when you're doing it on a very small budget...
you do what you gotta do...
and you can always cover everything with old quilts...
$17 each...that's a good deal...
