I haven't been posting any food photos lately...

so here's my vegetable soup...
a spice cake in my new cake pan...
it worked wonderfully without spraying it with baker's secret...
love it...
faberware...
the same as my new skillet...
topped with cream cheese icing...
betty crocker...
mini brownies tomorrow if Craig and I are up to it...
Craig is doing much better tonight...
thank you for all your prayers...
he's kept down a bowl of cereal and 2 little bowls of soup today...
no fever tonight...
my boil is doing good...
had my shower after supper and a new dressing put on...
Craig and I still had a good oops day...
we laughed, talked and worked together to get what done what needed done...
the rest can wait until later...
I need to get DH to do my PT...
Craig didn't feel up to doing that...
it's back down to 31...
and I don't think I'm going to be doing silk flowers...
no one will let me get away with anything!

Easter images...

I love this one!
it's just so cute...
I love the sun rays coming in the window and the soft colors...
pansies and easter lillies...

was up and down all night with the storms...
the stupid boil busted at 3:30am...
then sealed back up...
then it opened again at 6:30am...
showered, cleaned up, bandaged again...
and then back to bed...
slept until 11am...
keep Craig in your prayers today...
he threw up after his shower and now the other end is going...
there is a tummy flu bug going around here now...
we're just going to hang out today...
making veggie soup later...
I can do the food prep sitting down...
it's going to be so good for supper tonight...
OH!
last night when the storms went through it was 61...
2 hours later it was 39!
no wonder the storms were nasty!
it's 34 now...
I'm going to buy a truck load of silk flowers and stick them in the flower beds and all my pots...
I'm going to have spring one way or another...
Rebecca said if I do this, she will come and slap me...
she is not going to let me turn into a tacky old lady...
can you just see her pulling them all out in a flurry?
LOL
love my bestie!

my afternoon projects...

well, I started with these and the glue gun...
I love the pink...
my big one came out great...
then when that was done...
I looked through my Holmes magazine...
and I found an article on fixing an old queen ann home...
pictures of it still in progress...
a labor of love...
I also found new products...
the guts to your toilet...
mine don't look like this...
but I am going to look into this...
our water bills average $70 a month...
and then this is on the back cover...
I would love the water to still come from the top when I use the hand held...
of course I would love a shower that sprayed your from every which way...
but that ain't happenin' here...
then I got some postcards ready to take into my cabinet...
and then...
something I have been putting off...
because there's always time to do it later...
right?
I collected my losers...
and put them in my little photo album...
I collect them for the graphics...
for my grandchildren and great grandchildren...
because at the rate my boys are going...
I will never meet them in person!
big hint here, guys...
I do not gamble...
I buy graphics...
and I am really said if it's a really cool one and it wins...
except the time I won $250...
Yeah, I went shopping...
it was right before Christmas and I had the shopping done...
so I grabbed DH and we went shopping for everyone again!
we actually got cooler stuff a week before Christmas...
and more of it....
cause they marked it all down...
but 99.9% of the time they are losers as far as money goes...
those are my true winners...
and maybe, just maybe...
they may be worth something to someone some day...

thunderstorms coming in...
I can hear it rumbling in the distance...
a sure sign of spring...
and maybe snow tomorrow...
but in the 40s, so it won't hang around long...
I think my nephew's birthday is tomorrow...
he was born on the 29th...
so when that doesn't happen...
I guess you get 2 days...
the one before and the one after...

I'm back...

after the draft...
we went out for a few minutes before the rain starts...
the snow is all gone...
again...
I got several things done today...
and I will show you later...
I need to get photos...
all the little buddies were out with us...
a quick romp around the yard and back in...
they say we could get a lot of rain out of this storm that's coming...
and it could mean muddy feet and dirty cars...
but for me...
it means green grass, buds on the trees and flowers popping their little heads up....
it's going to take rain to get this spring party started...
and the gray skies let it happen...
the sun can't do it's thing until everything is watered good...
it's starting to look a little more like spring and a little less like winter...
now we need to see if March comes in like a lion or a lamb...

I will be MIA most of the day...

DH and Craig do fantasy baseball online...

today is the draft...

DH will have MY computer...
it's really ours...
but I use it more...

but for today, I will be benched...
I will be either napping' or makin' more flowers...

so I will catch you later...
pun intended...

UNANSWERED PRAYER...

The preacher's 5 year-old daughter noticed that her father always paused and bowed his head for a moment before starting his sermon. One day, she asked him why.

'Well, Honey,' he began, proud that his daughter was so observant of his messages. 'I'm asking the Lord to help me preach a good sermon.'...

'How come He doesn't answer it?' she asked.

my dad and I had a conversation something like this many, many years ago...
it didn't go over too well...
LOL
when my dad started preaching...
he didn't preach on Sunday morning...
it was either Sunday night, Saturday night or Thursday night...
my mom worked days so sometimes she didn't go through the week...
and my brother just didn't want to go...
so my job every time that dad preached...
was to get me ready early...
then I picked out dad's clothes, socks and shoes for that time...
while he was shaving...
and have them all laid out on the bed with a tie that matched...
then I would put our bibles on the kitchen table...
when dad came out of the bathroom...
I had to hold the bottom part of the hole in the tee shirt...
so it wouldn't mess up his hair...
then I folded down his collar after he tied his tie...
then I got my coat on and waited in the kitchen...
dad would put his foot in the chair so I could tie his shoe...
and then we did the other...
because I tied prettier bows...
and then off we would go...
just dad and me...
and on the way home he would ask me about the sermon...
and I always told him straight up...
he always told people that his job was to preach...
but mine was to get the preacher to the church on time...
and I did...
every time...
my mom and dad used to sing this song on the way to church...
it was their favorite to harmonize on...

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here, we might as well dance.

mail call...

got 2 packages in the mail this morning...
looooovvvvveeee this postcard...
large letter and I have never seen anything like it...
it's a keeper...
there are vitnage ladies hiding in the lettering...
the says it's from your loving daughter Lill...
the other package was full of lace...
4 different kinds...
3 of them pink...
and the smallest for the centers worked up just fine...
and will go good with the brown, white or off white...
shoot, might even look good with the other large pink lace...

I haven't been feeling very well this week...
Wednesday and Thursday weren't great...
but yesterday was the worst...
got up feeling like I had been run over by a tractor...
and then it got worse, LOL...
found 2 boils taking my shower...
the one burst last night as I was going to bed...
the other one this morning as I was going to take another shower...
migraine on top of all of that...
but must be doing better with my diet...
boils up and burst within 20 hours...
that's a good thing...
I have been taking honey for my cold...
which is still hanging around but not as bad...
it took me all day yesterday to do the 2 posts for the award...
but I just kept pluggin' away at it...
haven't had time to visit all of you  like I like to do...
so this evening and tomorrow, I plan on doing that...
my fever of 3 days broke at 3am...
I feel so much better with just that gone...
I need to do my PT this morning...
running late on that...
and then I'm going to lay down and rest a little so I don't get completely worn out...
it's sure been a short week...
I lost at least 3 days...
and have no clue where they went...
Have a fun weekend!
Hugs- Tete

passing this on to a few more...
Lezlee @ Priors
Marydon @ Blushing Rose
Cheryl @ ZanyMayd
Anne @ Phamily Blog
I know some of you have award free blogs...
but I didn't want you to go unmentioned...
there are no strings attached...
just snag it and go...
if you find a blog to pass it on to...
you can do that at anytime...
there are no questions to answer...
just post it with the blog you are passing it on to...
this award is for those who are unashamed to post about God, faith and his mercy in their lives...
it's really pretty simple...
as it is given freely to you...
pass it on freely to others...

Award...

this has been on my mind for a long time now...
an award to those bloggers who are not ashamed to post about praying, faith and are the first ones to leave kind words and prayers for those in need...
this award is about shining your light without boasting...
for being a prayer buddy without asking...
for going the extra mile to hug someone with your words...
it is for those who inspire faith,  hope and love in their posts...
there are no rules to this...
no lengthy protocol...
all you have to do to accept this award is copy and paste it to your blog...
there is no minimum or maximum number you have to pass it on to...
you don't have to pass it on to anyone...
and you can pass it on to everyone...
its up to you...
who inspires you?
who has touched your heart?
and you can pass this award onto anyone anytime...
if you run across a blog that you find later...
pass it on then...
so many of you have touched my heart and lifted my soul...
but the first recipients of this award goes to...
Debbie @ Simply Debbie
Debbie@ Lakehouse
Laurie@ Heaven's Walk

I will be giving this award out every week...
to those I run across in my journey here...
so if your name is not here today...
it will be later..

the best kind of snow, if there is any...

the kind that plasters itself to everything...
and hopefully disappears in one day...
got another limb down that was stuck after the ice storm...
this line has wind with it...
and so goes the life of a prairie chick...
crawling back into bed now...
it better be at least half gone when I get back up...

it could have been worse...

we got between 2 and 3 inches through the night...
it's still coming down but almost finished...
so heads up all of you east of me...
it's headed your way...
the one good thing is that it won't last long...
high of 47 today...
hopefully it's gone by supper time...
