Winter fun- long ago...

that's Steve heading down that super big hill...what a dare devil...hope his mom had plenty of band aids...

Thank you so much!

Thanks for all your prayers, thoughts and good wishes this past week. You have made a difference in our lives and I just wanted you all to know that.

Things for us will never be the same and we are entering a new chapter in our daily lives and routines. If we fail to acknowledge any of you, forgive us now, as we sometimes get caught up in our own little world here and have no sense of time passing from day to day.

Its amazing how so many lives can be touched with an event that lasted no more than 30 seconds. But, he is still with us, for now, and we will do our best to make sure what we have been given is not in vane or taken for granted.

Make each moment count and when you sit down with your families and friends this season, enjoy it like it could be your last, because you may not get the chance to have another Christmas together here.

Harold is at Newman and they gave him the grand tour...

It's a smaller, older facility, but with a most excellent staff...and the physical therapist is the best around. I'm sure they will give him quite a workout in the coming weeks.
He is so glad to be out of the hospital...not my favorite place, either...so even though its not "home"...he is in good hands and Steve can check on him every day after work...Steve should be home before long...

They just strapped him into a mini van and he's heading for Newman!

Just click to enlarge...

Steve and Harold are waiting for his discharge and transport this morning...

They got Harold up and in an actual shower- now that he's leaving...PT came in and did their thing- and when they got done with him........
HE CAN WIGGLE HIS FINGERS ON THE RIGHT HAND!
They have him sitting up in a chair now- he breathes better sitting up.
They had to put him on oxygen yesterday and last night. Not sure if he is still on that or not.
Now all he can do is wiggle the fingers- he cannot move the wrist or the arm....but its a start!

Christmas cards we sent this year...

these are so fun and they come with matching envelopes...
