Mary's deck:

I went visiting on Mary's blog, and she has been a busy lady...plus taking care of her husband for 11 weeks after hip replacement...plus working...taking care of her mom...but look at all she did!

Steve's Father's Day Supper:

it was easy- all he wanted was pizza and a salad...
left overs...bet it doesn't make it past tonight...

Ruthie left a few minutes ago...

she spent the night with Tia last night and then they showed up with Tia's grandpa's truck and loaded all her things in there and were gone...she gave him back his ring...Craig's ok...he knew it was coming...and they parted friends...

Romance is the glamour which turns the dust of everyday life into a golden haze.

For my Stevie...

If a dad falls asleep in the woods, does he drive all the woodland creatures bonkers with his snoring?

(this is for everytime you asked if a tree falls in the woods and no one is around to hear it does it make a sound???)...Happy Father's Day...we sure raised a couple of weird kids together...love you always...Terri

Happy Father's Day:

some womderful vintage images of fatherhood...
this was so me...

Steve, Joe, Harold, Bee & Buddy...my favorite guys...always...

It's uppy, uppy time!

it's morning on the prairie...and the corn is kissed with dew...and the grass...and my toes...
the last few rains have really laid down the hydrangea...but they are still so beautiful!
this was mosquitoville this morning...didn't linger here very long...
I found a little guy on the rose of sharon...it is full of buds...
and the sun hadn't quite reached the corn and beans...

the sun it trying to pop over the shed...early morning walks and late night walks are the best...when everything is sleepy and quiet except the birds singing in the mornings and later in the summer, the crickets chirping in the night...
this morning I thought of my grandpa Bee as I walked...today was his birthday...I haven't had him for 20 years now...and that we only had 26 years here...and that he's waiting for me...no matter how long it takes...he had a gentle, calm patience with little feet that doddled along...

Coincidence is God’s way of remaining anonymous.
