more crocus...
and the yellow ones are so small...
like little butter cups...
Craig got called in early to work, so DH and I were on our own...
had plans to do more, but things just wore me out...
I have days like that...
just before I flair...
so we did some, and then we rested me...
forsythia is budding...
soon it will be such a bright yellow out here...
iris bed...
Craig had raked off the biggest part of this...
we were just doing the clean up and fine raking today...
the rest the mower guy can shred when he comes in a week or two...
and we were out there in the wind and cloudy skies...
a bit chilly and I was glad to be back inside...
but after supper, I went out and sat on the steps...
and it was so much warmer...
and we took a quick 10 minute drive...
the sky was just awesome...
back into town...
and the sun was going down...
we did get the fridge cleaned out, dishes done and put up...
he vacuumed the living room...
watched the kitties pounce on everything they came across...
they were in such a fun mood today...
it was a good day and I didn't flair...
so I pushed it just right...
but today and probably tomorrow will be days of rest...
Craig will be off Wednesday and we are supposed to have a nice day...
so more outside work will be planned...
I do have a prayer request this morning...
my cousin's daughter in law, Courtney, underwent emergency surgery yesterday...
they had to do a colonoscopy and they found a big mass...
and its cancer...
she is only 29, with a set of twin girls who are about 2-3 now...
her blood count was very low, a lot of internal bleeding...
and the last I heard yesterday, they were prepping her to transport to Columbus in Ohio...
a much bigger hospital than where she had the emergency surgery...
my cousin's son, Kevin, and her father were with her...
her mother had the children...
and the rest of the family were just being notified and heading there...
they are in Ohio and I am here in Illinois, so can't be there with them...
so if you could say a big prayer, lots of prayers for my family as they go through this...
trying to save her...
and trying to cope with all that must be going on...
we would be forever grateful...
God is good all the time...
He knows what they need...
and He does answer prayers...
;)
