Why are you crying?

A little boy asked his mother, "Why are you crying?" "Because I'm a woman," she told him.
"I don't understand," he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will."

Later the little boy asked his father, "Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?"

"All women cry for no reason," was all his dad could say.

The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry.

Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked, "God, why do women cry so easily?"

God said, "When I made the woman she had to be special.

I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world,

yet gentle enough to give comfort.

I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.

I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining.

I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly.

I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.

I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.

And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed."

"You see my son," said God, "the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides."

see, that explains us all perfectly...
that's why we are like we are...
not that hard to understand...
now is it?

hope you like the share...
it touched me...

just piddle fartin' around...

that's what my mom called it...
but I got some new toys this weekend...
a girl my son went to school with grew up, got married, has 2 beautiful kids...
and she has the most amazing garage sales...
and she's one of my friends on facebook...
so, Sunday morning, she threw some pics up and titled it Garage Sale...
had each photo priced...
and of course, I picked out some things...
like this olive green basket with a barn red star on it...
2 metal black stars...
I know most of you are going white, but I tell you...
black punches like nothing else and it's basic neutral...
I know, I wasn't into black either...
but I used to watch Trading Spaces...
remember that?
LOL
anyway, my favorite designer was Edward Walker...
and he added a little black to every design...
didn't matter on the room...
and it made it look so much better...
gave the room depth and a sophistication...

and this big, I mean big...
metal shallow bowl...
with a star...
big enough to hold a lot of stuff...
and this 4 foot fall table runner...
quilted with oak and maple leaves...
little acorns...
fall without knocking your eyes out...
you know how some things fall are just on the verge of blinding you?
not this...
love it...
so this is where the piddle fartin' around comes in...
just a little sofa table in front of the kitchen windows...
this basket was on the kitchen table...
and these books were on the coffee table in the living room...
this used to sit on the mantel...
this was on the kitchen table, too...
add one of the new stars...
and poof!
it's done...
well. got some more piddle fartin' around to do...
and the other stuff, like laundry and washing dishes...
cleaning  up the living room after the cats and dogs drug out all their toys...
then a walk...
60 now- up to 69 today for a high...
got windows open...
do you?
probably ought to pick tomatoes again...
yeah, I know...
 I've got it so hard...
have a beautiful day...
God Bless...
