Pink Saturday

this little doll reminds me of my mother...

this is how she looked when she was younger...

she even had a spotted dog...

a dealer brought her in and unwrapped her...

her head had broken off...

the dealer was going to throw her away...

I nabbed her...

she sits in my curio next to all the other pretties...

with her little pink dress...

she has the same pouty look my mom had...

 someday I will glue her head back on...

maybe...

believe it or not, Daphne has lost weight this summer...

another butterfly in the web...

some things are surviving the heat...

some are not...

its not even comfortable in the shade...

so they are all heading inside...

this will have to wait...

fur coats are so out of season...

the babies are all in now and napping...

the humidity is slowly dropping...

the ground is cracking...

and we are watering every evening...
