I found it...

have you ever lost something????
well, Craig and I started out here this morning before DH even got backed out of the drive for the supply run...

they say if you lose something, the best place to find it is is where you last saw it...

so we started clearing this out...

cutting back and taking our time...

the drought has not been good to things this year...

and you're wondering what I lost...
what did I find out here this morning?

I found my passion again...

my passion in gardening...

and in my photography...

2 things that I had missed so much...
and really didn't realize they were gone...

life's like that, you know...
you can either look at things like this...

or like this...

amazing things are happening all around us...
look at this...

the shadow of a jet stream...

amazing, wonderful things...
like miracles and life...

without the pretty, and the fun of new things...
I had lost my passion for blogging, too...

even thought of giving it up...

its better not to have everything perfect all the time..

so you can appreciate things when they happen...

and seasons come and seasons go...
and this drought, too, shall pass...

until then, look closer...
search for the beauty in simple things...

and there you will find it...
right where you left it...
it was there all the time...
I just had to find the right angle...
;)
can you see it now?
I do...

on a lazy afternoon...

DH and I went to get an icy and then drove around a bit...

the old high school is completely gone and the land has been leveled...

soon the new high school will be opening its doors...

now you can see all the way to the football field score board...

no water has come over the dam in a long while...

cows are huddled under the shade trees that line their pasture...

along a creek bed...

waiting for the icy...

details of the buildings on the square..
very victorian...

it was a nice drive...

we had the windows down and it never did get too hot...

we missed all the rain that went through last night...
figures, huh?
today's the Kroger/ Walmart run day...
need to stock up on supplies again...
we are back to the mid 90s again...
was really nice to have a day in the 80s...

have a great day...
