Pink Saturday...

I have been working on this this week...
I really like it and since it's the first one...
I'm going to keep it...
I have used hints of pink in the collage with some of the vintage photos...
and then added a black ribbon with white dots...
it used to be an ice cream container...
I have thrown so many of these away in the past!...
I have also been playing around with these...
not sure how they are going to end up...
or what will go inside them...
they used to be toilet paper rolls...
and then I recreated this white 5x7 frame...
I think I like it...
and I had to redo some photo albums...
they were done for Halloween and I didn't sell all of them...
so I just pulled the spooky inserts and added these...
some of my Christmas hang tags...
packaged and ready to go in the booth...
and then I have been working on these wall hangings...
using old boxes from cereal, oatmeal, mac & cheese...
got some done this week but need to get some more ready for the booth...
Happy Pink Saturday!

Thanks, Beverly, for hosting the party!

leftovers...

we didn't get pics yesterday...
so here's what's left...
just wanted to share this little thing that my in-laws started...
on ham, after it's cooked with pine apple and brown sugar...
they would put cherry pie filling on top...
we all love it that way now...
so this year, Craig did the shopping...
and he got the wrong thing...
just a can of cherries...
so I talked DH through cooking them down with corn starch and sugar...
they are even better this way...
so if you have never tried this...
please do...
you will not be disapointed...
and we had to clear places to eat on the table already...
christmas cards, address book, ornaments and fudge...
ham and eggs for breakfast tomorrow...
one of our favorite things...
with hash browns and maybe some white gravy...
but I can't feed them too good...
they won't be able to move...
and there's decorating to do!...
Tia- come on over and help with the lights!...

unpacking...

first box of ornaments...
this is how I store the strands of light...
each strand is tested before storing...
and placed in a shopping bag...
and put in a tote...
extra bulbs are in zip lock bags with them...
no tangles cords...
no bad lights...
a tote of stuff...
I collect nutcrackers...
there is probably over 100 of them in this house...
seriously...
I need to find out who is in charge of this daylight saving thing...
the sun going down at 4PM...
I feel like bedtime at 7PM!...
it's just not right...
if we only had a couple extra hours of light in the evening...
maybe winter wouldn't be so bad or long...
another box of ornaments...
I think we need to make a walmart run...
we need tree lights...
have another tree this year...
and want to do the smaller one in the kitchen in white lights...
or pink...
still waiting for DH to get home...
so right now, we are at a standstill...
guess we could always eat again...
LOL!...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Craig took these while walking Moses...
the sun is melting the snow quickly...
and Moses doesn't seem to mind getting his toes cold...
Bebe, on the other hand, found mud...
and rolled in it...
and left muddy footprints all over the living room and kitchen...
so we were delayed with puppy baths...
and mopping...
thank goodness Craig caught hm before he rolled all over my bed...
yes, he was heading there...
these are still green...
but this happened in just the last hour...
nothing to do here but plug it in...
left the lights on it from last year and just set it in the front bedroom...
and it is going in the kitchen this year...
not sure if we will put ornaments on this or not...
and just a teeny glimpse of my PS post...
Craiger and I am taking a break and grabbing an afternoon snack...
DH had to work today...
he has never worked on the day after Thanksgiving before and since his work place is under new management...
they didn't have it worked out on the calendar that they were to get a 4 day weekend...
he was totally bummed!...
this is our deck the halls time...
and it's not the same without him...
no bad words lingering in the air!LOL...
we have Christmas music playing...
and later...
Craig is going to lick the envelopes on the Christmas cards!
it's not abuse!...
he likes it...
he pouted when the USPS started making self stick stamps...
so it's off to munching!...
