Pink Saturday...

Happy Pink Saturday!

follow me...

first thing I see when I come out the front door...
this is where we put the new fence section...
before our neighborhood trouble maker moved...
he had been snooping around after dark getting into sheds and garages to take things that didn't belong to him and he shoved one side of the fence down...
so yesterday, Craig and I took it off to straighten it up and put it back...
when my boy had a great idea...
let's reuse these frames that DH brings home free for fire wood...
and I like it..
needs a coat of white paint...
but moving along, we end  up in the south part of the yard...
it's going to be a weeding morning...
Daphne is here guarding my yellow hoe...
the canopy above us will keep us cool in the shade, for it only allows the sunbeams to trinkle through...
you can finally meet my little girl face to face...
our beds are brick lined with vintage brick that others were going to throw away...
and my little child's rake that fits in between the flowers...
sitting beside the flower bed lets you see things a little differently...
and if you are very good...
you can stretch out here when we are done...
these bloomed so well last week...
so early this week the tops were cut out of them so they can bloom again...
I would like you to meet Craig, who is hoeing away...
he says, "nice to meet you..."
weeds won't get a good hold if you keep the dirt loose...
my grandma's wash tub is looking good, but I think maybe we could find something this weekend to make it look a little better...
they just keep blooming...
do you like petunias?
I like solid colors...
but then I have seen some that looked great in pots that weren't solid this year...
every garden needs an old ladder of some kind...
there's just something about one...
this one was my grandpa's...
I loved your idea of moving this here...
looks so much better...
weeding's done and it's time to fill the bird bath...
loved your idea of making the plate flowers shorter...
didn't take long for Craig to cut the pipes down...
and I think you're right about painting them black...
so you don't see a white stem...
Kermit was so happy to meet you, too...
he says you can come back anytime you want!
and I hope you do, too...
the time goes so much faster when you are working with friends...
hugs!
