post number 3522...

I know, I know...
2 posts in one day...
but this is exciting...
for me anyway...
I got outside!

sure didn't stay too long...
still cold even with the sun...
and a bit breezy...

we scooped off what we could get off...
salted the rest...
everyone around here is out of ice melt...
they are using water softener salt now...

but today we are going through the side yard...
so many things to do when the weather breaks...
and I wanted to share some thoughts with you about that...
this so needs dumped and renewed...
thinking petunias and marigolds here...

and those fence sections are going up this year...
back where they should be...
which will make for a nice back drop...

the baby bassinet...
I am thinking deck...
with a pillow...
for fur babies to sleep in on hot summer afternoons...

there will be so much to trim back and rake out...

I am thinking this is the next bird seed keeper...
and put it out on the island...
next to the feeders...

and I am going to change this up a bit...
and stella's getting a new look...
got to find her something pretty and flowing...
bright and summery...

and this will be a great spot for a big pot of marigolds and maybe a dash of geraniums...
we do have a skeeter problem here...
and those marigolds might help that out a bit...

now, can you see the fence up, everything green...
maybe the window pane house in here or the pink bike...
and the bridge painted...
maybe even white and a pale sage green...

plenty of sticks came down this winter with the storms...
will make for good fire starters this year...

just waiting for spring to show up so we can start making these dreams come true...
have all the things we need already...
except for the plants and the paint...
begonias to line the path...
white ones...
doted with blue salvia...

a long winter sometimes produces the best plans and dreams...
and the most dedicated heart when the thaw finally happens...
to bring a tired world back to life again...
so I am dreaming of...
things like...
dew covered toes on my early morning walk abouts...
bees buzzing amid the blooms...
birds singing me awake in the mornings...
breezes blowing curtains...
dandy lions and violets...
the smell of fresh cut grass and the sound of mowers...
dirt sifting through my fingers...
as the clouds float lazily by...
suntans and evening walks...
its coming...
just hang on a little bit more...
its in the air...
and I know we are so ready for it this time...
;)
what are you plans?

a typical day of this and that...

these were the only clouds that I saw yesterday...
sun shining so bright and blue, blue skies...

its still cold out there, though...
but the standing water is all down...
and we can see the field again...

I had a helper with my photo taking...
she is so sweet...

switched windows to get the south side...
still got snow over there...

I love the sunlight coming through the lace...

it even make the curtains glow pretty...

of course I had to play with the babies...
who totally trashed their room...
again...
they love playing in the oatmeal box...

this one is going to be a shredder...
she acts more like a puppy than a kitty...

Hermie...
taking it all in with half closed eyes...
laying on the heating pad...
DH uses it before he does his pt...
when he is done with the pt, he has to ice it down...
its not on, but don't tell Hermie that...

still lovin' the vintage feel of this print with the cancelled stamps...

leftovers were for supper last night...
and we finally finished off the chicken and noodles...
the guys veggie soup is gone, too...
I have a wee bit of mine left, but will probably do that for lunch today...

just a typical day around here...
it did get up to 33...
got warmer days coming and we even get to change the clocks this weekend...

DH has another pt session at the hospital this afternoon...
he said he would bring me a whopper home for supper...
;)
its a good thing we don't live in a town with a Burger King...
I would have whoppers for breakfast!

I am not sure what all will get done today...
its one of those, yeah, it might happen days...
Craig goes in at 4, so he can help a bit this morning before he goes in...
;)

have a fun day and if you have sun...
just rest a spell in it...
it will do you so much good!
;)
