our grain elevator here in town...

with all these grain bins, they still have two ground piles in the fall for corn during harvest...
they can now load 100 cars in 12 hours...train cars, that is...
they have a 24 hour turn around from the time the cars leave Neoga and they get back there...
the tracks run past our north lot...
my husband works for an elevator like this 8 miles north of here...
he does food grade corn and this elevator only does commercial corn...

country roads...between the corn and bean fields...

typical east central Illinois prairie...
grain bin...
soy beans...
black angus beef cows...
I love this fence and gate...
he came running to me...
spotted pony and there is another one behind him...
he has an attitude...
the corn here has stood in water and it turned yellow and not grown with the rest...
back to the highway...
hope you had a good time...

I was up early this morning...

the forecast is for 91 today...so work when it's cool...
Craig got the glider primed yesterday afternoon...
we were trying to decide what color...
I think now I want  it white...
with an accent in the squares of a light teal to bird egg blue tone...
I will mix my own color...
day lily...
we are picking this evening...
rose of sharon...
and the cats found this guy on the edge of the driveway...
garter snake...
yep, he's dead...
