Pink Saturday: on the wings of angels...

BELIEVE
to have a firm religious faith

FAITH
firm belief in something for which there is no proof

MIRACLES
an extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs

HEALING
to make sound or whole

"Colette Gauthier was suffering with cancer. She had moved into a tiny and dismal rental home. And, she was almost out of hope.

I decided to take a crew up to Michigan, in the middle of last winter, to create a healing room in which she could recover. Friends and volunteers became "Design Angels." A miracle resulted. The story is featured in the September issue of Guideposts Magazine."

believe in things you cannot see
trust His love
This PINK SATURDAY is not about ourselves or what we have or what we have bought.
It is about support.
It is about not being able to take one step or one breath without the flutter of wings.
It's about every single minute of every single day that we are allowed is a miracle.
It's about priorities.
And I know when I leave here, whose arms I'm flying to just as fast as I can.
WE CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST THE LORD!
We have been placed in each others lives for a reason.
My prayers are for all of you today.

playing around again...
not having a good day...
waiting for the guys to come home...
just me, the dog and the cats...
Craig started his classes on Monday...
it's hard to believe that this is the last semester...
Doug's gone for the weekend...
and this is Steve's last day of work before his last week of vacation...
it's already been a long day...
and there's 4 hours to go before Craig gets home...
and I'm so bored!...
I have blog hopped till my eyes crossed...
you all are looking pretty darn good out there...
trying to soak up the last of summer...
pinching every single second out of it...
we've got the perfect day here...
blue filled sky and 76...
it doesn't get much better than that...
and here I sit...
close to the bathroom...
it's got to quit sooner or later...
I sure hope your day is pretty...
and you are out there having fun...

news flash...it's happening...

the corn is ready and they are picking!...
and a hauling to the elevator...
keep an eye out for them on the roads...
they're on the move...
the pumpkins are ripe and being picked...
ready to sell...
ready to decorate with...
and this is coming on fast, too...

a full moon, dry weather, and an itch to get it done...
keep it safe guys...
everything here in our small community changes when they hit the fields...
we stay out of their way...
those combines are huge and take a lot of space...
the wagons have gotten so huge!...
but most around here haul in semis...
the line at the elevator will be so long...
and the diner and Casey's will be empty of the morning and afternoon coffee drinkers...
the implement businesses will be busy on calls...
fixing anything that breaks down in the field any time of day or night...
hopefully they can get all the corn in before they have to switch heads...
the beans are not even close...
soon, very soon, we will be able to see forever again...
and the rustle of the corn will end...
and before we know it...
just as quickly as it began...
harvest will be done...
