It's 10:30pm and it is still hot outside.
83 with a heat index just over 90...
I think I would rather have cold...
I can always put more clothes on...
but you can only take so many off...
and naked is not an option for me...
I don't think my neighbors would understand...

Rooster and chicken...

I found these two in a little shop in Paris...
Paris, IL that is...
and you know they had to be yellow...
and floral...
I have posted them before...
but separately...
I have had them for several years...
it never dawned on me to display them together...
duh...

Ebay listings...vintage signs...

I love these!
I am so thinking about them...
I love the black background and the berries theme...
they would so good in my kitchen...
but which one?...
or two?...
or all three?...
and the fact that they are all Ohio signs...
my place of birth...
so goes my dilemma today...

Check on your neighbors!

Check your family, friends and neighbors during these hot, hot days!
So many slip through the cracks of the programs designed to help those in need.
Its up to us to make sure the ones we know are taken care of!
Invite them into the ac and the comfort of your home for the hottest part of the day.
Do a movie afternoon or just sit and visit.
And don't forget the animals.
Set out extra water for the birds.
Bring the dogs and cats in!
You can also start  a program through your church and let people come there!
Use your imagination!
Have fun with it and let someone know you care!
God sends us where he needs us most.
Ask Him where he needs  you today!
Life is too short to stress yourself with people who don't even deserve to be an issue in your life..:)

Christmas in July...

I was inspired by two other blogs this morning...
so Kathy and Rebecca- thanks for the idea of what to post today!...
ain't it thrillin'?
when your nose gets to chillin'?
we've got a couple more 90-100 days and then it should cool down...
until then...enjoy...

boy, did we get rain yesterday afternoon...

our south yard...
it's not too bad here...
Craig's feet...
so we went for a drive...
Ashmore Rd...
Triple H had water...
across from the lumber yard...
the ball diamond...
Reel Street...
and behind Campbell's...
the storms that went through weren't real nasty...
we just got dumped on...
we have had an abundance of rain and very hot weather this year...
