after the freezing rain...

the snow started falling...
and it glistens in the night...
and there's enough to track a cat...
and it came on the 25th...
which means we will have 25 snows this winter...
the sedum...
frozen first and then powdered lightly...
no artist can ever paint as well as God can...
our lilac...
started to feel the mood here...
I don't think we will mow again...
everything looks so cool...
and I am so glad that Canon fixed my camera and sent it back so fast!
it's been a grand day...
different, but grand...
and we missed those no longer here...
and it's not the same without them...
but soon enough...
we will join them...
but until then...
we will do it our way now...
and make our own memories...
and enjoy this time...
here and now...
Hugs- Tete

PS...
 the Christmas cards are done...
and the stamps are on...

Dinner and the football game...

getting everything ready to go in the oven...
my guys manning the stove...
Craig is working on the noodles...
Steve got up and had the ham in early...
I did the green bean casserole...
sliced the ham...
and coached from the sidelines...
I did make a trip through to get photos...
but was ran out so they could do their master pieces...
so here is 3 little cordials that I nabbed out of the free cycle stuff...
we moved the table from here and moved a bench in from the bedroom...
I was only out a couple of minutes...
it was misting a cold, cold rain...

and here are the results of one of the polls I posted...

noodles 4 (22%)

dressing 12 (66%)
mashed potatoes 16 (88%)
sweet potatoes 15 (83%)
stuffing 13 (72%)
something with cranberries 14 (77%)
corn 7 (38%)
cole slaw/ salad 7 (38%)
pumpkin pie 15 (83%)
pecan pie 5 (27%)
other 7 (38%)

Doug came in with a major ear ache...
took medicine, ate and is asleep on the couch...
Craig is in his room asleep and Steve is in our room napping...
here I am, blogging...
not sure if I want to nap or do the Christmas cards...
it's my tradition I began 16 years ago...
with the death of my grandma and mom in '94...
it left me being the only "girl" in a room full of guys for most of those years...
and I would be so bored from 11- 5...
between feedings when the guys watched the football games with their eyes closed...
they claim it is a talent...
I say it's something else...
so this was my "quiet time" to find a place at the table and write out my cards...
because I always worked...
and sometimes 2 jobs plus doing all the kid stuff...
I got everything out and ready to go last night...
so this is what I will work on the rest of today and tonight...
I won't mail them until after the 1st of December...
but they will be ready...
so- how is your day going?
PS- Dinner was wonderful!  Everything done exactly right!  They did good!
