White Wednesday...

I have the cutest tomato cages in my neighborhood!...
while I am trying to decide what kind of bottoms to put on these...
I thought we might as well use them for something...
now I have until fall to think of how I want the seats to look...
I have thought about covering ply wood...
but then what color?..
what pattern?...
I have also thought about staining one inch boards...
or painting them white to match the chairs...
I want something sturdy and that will last more than a few years...
and it has to look good, too...
Happy White Wednesday!...

I need your help!

my friend, Terri, came by this morning...
she wanted me to blog this to see if any of you knew what's going on in her garden...
these are cone flowers...
the first part of the patch has these...
she is the one who gave me starts of mine...
this is how they are supposed to look...
the next section in the patch look like this now...
and the third section looks like this...
are they mutants?...
if anyone has any ideas, we are all ears!...
we do not live near any toxic dumps or nuclear power plants...
it has been a very wet, hot and hunid season...

my breakfast this morning...
turkey, tomato and mayo on a hot dog bun...
we are out of bread and hamburger buns...
sedum and cone flowers...
Terri and Diva came to visit...
cone flowers...
seed pods from the tree out front...
it is loaded this year...
bird bath...
everyone drinks from here...
birds...
squirrels...
cats...
begonias and marigolds and weeds...
Doug was bored so he made another butterfly hangy thing...
it's rainy this morning...
while I was taking photos Craig dead headed the day lilies...
we just got done with lunch and I have one more post to do...

Fun tin signs...

I found these on ebay...
I turned this one black and white and then tinted it pink...
I thought they were fun...
we had rain all night long...
maybe another play inside day...
