had to share this...

this one really touched me...

something I needed...
don't give up...
sometimes I get tired...
then He sends me a message...
so here we go again...

had a really good day...
really good...
and it rained and blowed and howled outside...
but I got some things done...
some things fed...
loved on a few, too...

but we have gotten 2 inches of rain and it's still coming down...
we sure needed it...
someone said that their catfish were happy now...
the pond was going dry...

yeah, it made me smile, too...
I'm going to have to remember that the next time it gets dry...
seems to me it would be the best time to go fishing...
just wade in with a net and head for home...
done...

Beauregard...
or Beau Beau as I call him...
until he grows into that big ole name...
is doing well...
so is Bear...
he lapped his supper awhile ago...
so while they are quiet...
I'm going to sneak off to bed...
4 hours comes fast...
night

meet Beauregard...

here he is...
he is so soft and fluffy...
and look at those colors...
I fell in love at first sight...
DH doesn't know yet...
that we have a new one...
he will moan and groan...
but just a little while...
"I'm not happy...someone is standing on my tail."
isn't he sweet?
black face and feet...
white and gray mixed in everywhere else...
and he likes to cuddle...
Tori likes him...
he likes her...
Bebe approved...

it's a boy...I think...

this little one is so harry...
I can't see the pee hole!
but I did find two other things that led me to believe that it might be a boy...
pee holes tell me everything...
slit- it's a girl...
round hole- it's a boy...
but baby boy is fat and sassy...
peeing good...
eating good...
and napping good...

more later...
the other new one...
the one I am keeping...
is about to head for the vet to be tested for aids and leukemia...
$35 for the test...
used to be $20...
but you only have to test one out of a litter...

a new arrival...

DH got off early last night...
well, really normal time...
because of the rain...
the farmers quit picking and hauling in...
so we were going for a walk...
and a mama cat had been trying to move her babies...
down the road...
but she left this one on the sidewalk...
now, these are stray, wild cats no one can get close to...
so we snagged the baby...
us and the neighbors...
this one I brought home to feed...
it's about 4 weeks...
so I am up...
feeding time...
now the neighbor got 3 the other day...
she wants one of them...
and I am getting one...
wait till you see him!

they go to the vet today to be tested for aids...
leukemia...
wormed...
and if all goes well, I will have a new one...

normally, I would not advise to take babies from the mamas...
but we have too many strays here and these cats are on their 3rd litter this year...
I can have this one on hard food and water in 10 days...
we have to get them now to tame them down...
so they are adoptable...
these kittens will not grow up and make more babies...
it's also late in the year and getting colder...
chances are this late litter wouldn't make it in the cold...
they are just too little...

coyotes are circling every night here now...
they are coming in for the strays...
easy food...

so photos will come later...
but I have a lot of work to do with this one in the next two weeks...
a lot of handling...
playing...
feeding...

so, if you don't hear from me...
I'm playing mama...
again...
