welcome to the prairie of east central Illinois...
there are black angus beef cattle here...
and a state park...
tulips in my yard...
and seed pods of our red maple...
our rose of sharon started leafing out this week...
and the ferns are uncurling...
we have had sunshine and rain showers...
mud puddles and thunderstorms...
there is new growth...
and flooded fields...
scarecrows...
and bird baths...
rose bushes and places to watch the clouds go by...
there are small creeks full of the spring rains...
and color just ready to burst open...
there are clouds and flocks...
thorns without blooms...
anticipation for the coming season...
which is on hold...
for now...
but still busy with last years' crop...
and that's how we do spring on the prairie...
I would like to wish everyone a safe and happy Easter...
may God's blessings shower down on all of you...
and thank you, Jesus, for dying for me...
