HAROLD'S DOING GOOD...
CRAIG AND I MADE CHICKEN AND NOODLES FOR HAROLD TODAY AND A HAMBURGER STEAK WITH FRIED POTATOES FOR STEVE TO TAKE UP TO HIM. WE HAVE A TUB OF APPLES, BANANAS AND COOKIES FOR HIM. WE ALSO DID APPLE SAUCE AND PEACHES CUPS. THAT SHOULD GET HIM THROUGH UNTIL SUNDAY. WE WILL PROBABLY HAVE TO GET A FREEZER TO KEEP UP WITH DOING HIS LUNCHES AND SUPPERS.
STEVE AND CRAIG WILL GO IN SATURDAY TO CLEAN HIS APARTMENT, CLOSE IT DOWN FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS AND THEN GRAB THE REST OF THE THINGS THAT HE NEEDS.
TALKED TO HIS CLEANING LADY TONIGHT AND SHE WAS HAPPY I CALLED HER.
I KNOW THIS NEXT WEEK WILL BE GETTING INTO A SCHEDULE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THIS FOOD THING FOR EVERY DAY.
NOVA CAME BY TODAY AND BROUGHT PEANUT BRITTLE, PEANUT CLUSTERS AND CARAMELS. STEVE WAS SO EXCITED ABOUT THAT. HER DAD IS IN A NURSING HOME IN CHARLESTON, AND SHE GOES TO SEE HIM A LOT, SO WE KINDA COMPARED NOTES. I KNOW IF I HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ON HOW TO DO THINGS, SHE WILL HAVE THE ANSWERS. HER DAD IS 97- 10 YEARS OLDER THAN HAROLD.
DIDN'T HEAR FROM REBECCA TODAY- SHE HAD THE DAY OFF AND WAS GOING SHOPPING WITH HER HUSBAND.
CAN'T WAIT TO FIND OUT IF SHE FOUND ANYTHING COOL.
STEVE'S UNCLE GENE WENT TO SEE HAROLD TODAY AND HE WAS HAPPY TO SEE HIM. UNCLE GENE HAS CALLED THE LAST TWO DAYS ABOUT HIM. THEY MARRIED SISTERS.
I SPENT THE MORNING TAKING CARE OF LOOSE ENDS AND GETTING THE PHONE CHANGED TO VACATION MODE. IT WILL SAVE HIM 50% ON HIS BILL.
THE PAPER WAS CANCELLED AND I CALLED HIS DOCTOR TO LET THEM KNOW THAT HE WAS AT NEWMAN NOW.
HE IS GOING TO CHANGED DRS SO HE CAN HAVE ONE THAT MAKES HOUSE CALLS AND WE WON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT DRAGGING HIM OUT IN THE SNOW AND ICE THIS WINTER, NOT TO MENTION ALL THE GERMS IN THE OFFICE.
A BAD COLD OR FLU WOULD SEND HIM BACK TO THE HOSPITAL IF IT DIDN'T KILL HIM. WE HAVE TO BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO EXPOSE HIM IF WE ARE SICK.
SINCE CRAIG IS STILL SICK- HE HASN'T BEEN ABLE TO GO SEE HIM.
WE WILL GET HIS LAUNDRY DONE UP AND GET HIS CLOTHES MARKED. THEY ARE GOING TO DO HIS LAUNDRY UNLESS HE BREAKS OUT, THEN WE WILL DO IT FOR HIM.
HE HAS TWO THERAPIES THERE. THEY STARTED HIM ON THE REGULAR THERAPY FOR MOVEMENT AND STRENGTHENING AND THEN THEY ARE DOING AN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY WHERE HE WILL LEARN HOW TO BUTTON, TIE, FEED HIMSELF, ETC.
I THINK HE WILL THRIVE THERE. TOMORROW WHEN I CALL HIM I AM GOING TO ASK HIM HOW HE LIKES THE BIG SCREEN TV THERE. THEY HAVE BESIDE THE DINING AREA AND 20-30 RECLINERS LINED UP. AFTER LUNCH, EVERYONE GRABS A CHAIR AND NAPS WHILE THEY WATCH TV IN THE AFTERNOONS. SOUNDS LIKE HIS KIND OF PLACE.
