Coming soon:

DH stopped by our local appliance store this morning and picked out a new washer...
and a new dryer...
along with a new dish washer...
we had them picked out online...
we did a couple loads this evening to get things caught up...
tomorrow they guys are going to pull them out and clean under and behind them...
cause the new ones are coming Monday afternoon...
and not too soon...
the washer quit on the last load...
it won't spin no more...
now some might call that a coincidence...
I call it a blessing...
I know God held it together right up to the last load we needed to do with it...
and the money for it all came out of the blue...
a long forgotten life insurance policy that my father in law took out in 1949...
he's been gone a year now and the insurance co had to find us...
we had no clue...
it wasn't much, but enough to make a difference here...
and just when we needed it...
do you ever have things like that happen?...
things that just make you smile knowing that He is watching out for you?..
of course you do...
He does it for everyone...

"Sisters"...

A young wife sat on a sofa on a hot humid day, drinking iced tea and visiting with her mother. As they talked about life, about marriage, about the responsibilities of life and the obligations of adulthood, the mother clinked the ice cubes in her glass thoughtfully and turned a clear, sober glance upon her daughter..
'Don't forget your sisters,' she advised, swirling the tea leaves to the bottom of her glass. 'They'll be more important as you get older. No matter how much you love your husband, no matter how much you love the children you may have, you are still going to need sisters. Remember to go places with them now and then; do things with them..'

'Remember that 'sisters' means ALL the women... your girlfriends, your daughters, and all your other women relatives too.. 'You'll need other women. Women always do.' What a funny piece of advice!' the young woman thought. Haven't I just gotten married? Haven't I just joined the couple-world? I'm now a married woman, for goodness sake! A grownup! Surely my husband and the family we may start will be all I need to make my life worthwhile!' But she listened to her mother. She kept contact with her sisters and made more women friends each year. As the years tumbled by, one after another, she gradually came to understand that her mother really knew what she was talking about. As time and nature work their changes and their mysteries upon a woman, sisters are the mainstays of her life.. After more than 50 years of living in this world, here is what I've learned: THIS SAYS IT ALL:
Time passes.
Life happens.
Distance separates.
Children grow up.
Jobs come and go.
Love waxes and wanes.
Men don't do what they're supposed to do.
Hearts break.
Parents die.
Colleagues forget favors.
Careers end.

BUT..........
Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how many miles are between you. A girl friend is never farther away than needing her can reach. When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you have to walk it by yourself, the women in your life will be on the valley's rim, cheering you on, praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf, and waiting with open arms at the valley's end..
Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk
beside you...Or come in and carry you out.
Girlfriends, daughters, granddaughters, daughters-in-law, sisters,-in-law, Mothers, Grandmothers, aunties, nieces, cousins, and extended family: all bless our life!
The world wouldn't be the same without women, and neither would I. When we began this adventure called womanhood, we had no idea of the incredible joys or sorrows that lay ahead. Nor did we know how much we would need each other..
Every day, we need each other still.

a friend sent me this in an email today...
and I am sending it out to all of you...
have a great weekend...

Lunch...

taco bell...
I love their potatoes with cheese and sour cream...
and a chalupa, plain...
just the meat and sour cream...
and a cadbury egg for dessert...
that was about 3 hours ago...
tummy not good right now...
I only eat half and save the other half for the next day...
good thing I didn't eat it all...
it was good and worth every bite...

I won Lori Lynn's give away!
I have no idea what I won, but coming from Lori Lynn...
it's gona be cool...
super cool...
Thank you so much, Lori Lynn...
you made my day week month!

What do you do when you are bored?

I walk around with my camera...
and you never know what's going to turn out...
a quick update on DH...
and his kidney stone...
when I passed mine...
it hurt pretty bad...
but he had NO pain...
NONE...
he said a few times before it passed...
his stream was like holding your thumb over the end of the garden hose...
(which is why he is washing bathroom walls this weekend)
and then when it passed...
he heard a ping...
and then he had blood in his tidy whities...
the next morning...
and then a little more after work that day...
but no blood now for 2 days...
I can't believe it didn't hurt at all...
nothing...
not even a little bit...
I have had several through the years...
and they all hurt...
even my father in law...
his hurt...
talk about living a charmed life...
first he got me...
and now pain free kidney stones...
I don't know what more he could want...

thanks for all the concern and kind words for him...
