oh, it's still 87 and it's almost 10pm...
we have a large storm front coming in but I wanted to get this blogged before it hit...
my oldest son called me at 4am this morning....
he wanted money to come home...
he's been married for 5 years now...
most of it rocky...
and I think it's finally ended...
so we had to wait till 7 to wire him the money...
he started out and made it to Paducah...
a Ky highway patrolman, Robert, called...
Doug was broke down along the highway...
he'd broken a radiator belt...
a simple fix... but with the heat and traffic...
it wasn't safe to do along side of the road...
not enough money to be towed or get it fixed...
this patrolman took care of him...
he waited with him for 2 hours for a tow truck...
I just said I don't know anyone there...and asked him if he knew someone he could trust...
he called the tow truck and they took my son and the van...worked him in their very busy schedule...
called me back and let me charge it over the phone...and sent him on his way...
he made it to a friend's house just 40 minutes shy of here and is spending the night...
he was beat...
my son is deaf....
and they took the time to make sure he was safe and taken care of...
they wrote notes and made long distant phone calls...
several of them to get him back on the road...all of this added 5 hours to his trip...
it was already 100 down there by 9am...
I put him in God's hands this morning before he left...
and angels along the way got him home...
