people are like candles...

when they are happy, their flame burns bright...but there are things that can come along to stir the air around the flame and make it dance...but if the wind is strong enough it will extinguish the flame...friends are like a protective hand, cupped around the top of the candle so the breezes in life will not take the flame away...but I think everyone has tried to keep a candle lit in the stiffest of breezes...its not an easy job and sometimes we fail...and the flame is stolen from us...its not our fault...we did the best we could and still we could not protect the heart of a friend...and as we all know the best thing to do is keep ahold of the candle...do not toss it aside...for when the storm passes and the winds die down...we are able to relight the candle...so hang onto your friends...relight their flames...and enjoy their warmth when you have it...you may be the next one who needs relit...and it will come from a friends flame...
