how your life can change so much in just a week's time?
We spend the hours preparing and sharing memories, laughing through tears, at some of the best times of our lives...times when parents were still earthbound...and our worst concerns were so trivial...when we knew no true sorrow...and thought it would last forever...
all the days of laughter...introducing grandchild to grandparent for the first time...family dinners...Saturday afternoons...holidays...
then we were the "kids"... and they were the older ones...and time flew by...so here we are now...we are the older ones...the oldest generation...
and we sit and look at each other and wonder where all the time has gone...but our hearts are full of love and laughter that all those years have made...and thankful for the time we have had...
as we begin another chapter...and the pressure is on...for now we have to be the older and wiser...and I know they will be watching...and cheering us on...
