another Easter collage...

I have talked to Terri and Rebecca this morning...got a nap in...and the kitchen has been worked on...other than that...not much going on...

53 for a high today and sunshine...got another quote for a new deck...with a roof...can't wait...and its only going to get warmer as the week goes on...

Rebecca got to ride in a police car today...call her and find out what happened...

we did great in her booth this month...we're both happy with the sales...

Steve is a smart aleck tonight...thinks he's funny or something...had a wonderful day at work, I guess...

hope Kyle is hopping around a little better today...basketball injury last week...3 of them...in a row...but he kept playing...dumb man...by Saturday he was seen on the square of our small town limping badly...so had to call and check on him and he told the story...

if he's still hobbling around on Easter...Gretchen can put ears on him and he can be the Easter Bunny for Alaina...

worked on Harold's veteran papers today and began archiving them...I need page protectors for the letters from guys he knew in the hospitals who wrote him after he got home...

so many amazing things left behind...from another life...another time...

1947 property taxes for Coles County...16.00 for the year...and I'm sure they thought it was high...he had to pay it in two installments...

300.00 for a car...a 1934 Model Chevrolet Master 4 Door Sedan...Jan 3rd, 1947...

fire insurance- $18.01- for one year in 1948...

it's 47 this afternoon...chilly wind...but the sun is out and it will be warmer tomorrow...

weekend chores...

cleaning out the flower beds...daffodils are up...
lilies and iris...

the sedum, too...is it spring yet?

it's coming...

it won't be long...floppy ears will soon be here...

the clouds have come...but no rain...

Doofus really enjoyed the sunshine and the wicker chair...so much that he forgot to come in Friday night...we were worried...looked everywhere...checked with the neighbors...nothing...he finally showed up last night about 9pm...hungry...but ok...
the guys got the flower beds raked off...so much is coming up...

and we dug the scarecrows out of the shed...

and a purple crocus opened...

my dad is being naughty...he was so cranky and saying really bad things...

its the stroke...its not like him...

its not easy on my step mom...

they have been together 25 years...

she's not ready for it to be over...but its so hard to live with it like things are now...

she is the greatest step mom...

remember her this week...we need for God to cover each step she takes...

and to ease every bad word from my dad's lips...

his mind is not completely gone...its just so messed up...

and every now and then...he comes out...but not often enough...

this week has been beautiful...

mr wiggles loves tanning...
my step mom called late last night and she and dad are adjusting to him being in the nursing home...

he had a really good first day there...

and she finally got some of the sleep she needed...

I got my new star lights put up yesterday...

the lilac is budding...just look at the green...

and the grass will need mowed before we know it...

the crosses around the yard are aging wonderfully...

and I found a surprise bloomer...

it's not quite time to turn the birdbath yet...we could still get some freezing weather...

and then I found another bunch...and the tulips are up...they will follow the crocus in bloom...
