this evening we had to water...

Daphne and I were just hangin' out...

she was having a bath and I was enjoying the breeze bringing with it the sweet, sweet smells from the autumn clematis...

and my oldest shows up toting his laundry in...

the youngest was zonked out on the couch...

he got up sick this morning...

while I waited for him to get a load started...

I snapped some photos of the marigolds...

very fallish and in style now...

Doug started the watering...

one of his favorite things...

it looked like rain might be moving in...

but we got nothing...

of course he came at supper time...

so after the watering we came back in...

and we caught up on the new apartment and city living...

which he loves both...

and his best friend lives right there, too...
